I am in my late 60 having been in the U.K. for 50 years. When I was a kid in HK I spent most of my time on Airfix & Revell models. Matchbox, Corgi & Dinky Toys were also my passion. I would alway lose myself in one of those model shops. I remember there was one in Causeway Bay. I think.
The 1st time I buy Airfix military figure was more than 40 years ago in HK Wing On shop & very impressive its scale up to 1/32 different from the Japan company which always make 1/35.
My first model was bought in the old Wing On Department Stall in Central. It was an Airfix 1/76 Sherman tank. The next Year I bought the Panther tank. At that time the models were glued using home brew glue.
Well . interesting ! 60 年代開始 model hobby. 尖沙嘴 德誠街口 有一間街店 , I mean 所有模型掛在高牆上 ( young generations probably won't believe it ) . But funny that 這 store 竟然有很多模型買, 尤其是 初代的 Airfix ! Wow . Great store !! .........Too much to say about those good old memories . Wow !!
