I immediately clicked when I saw who the FL is, I love her dramas! I actually enjoy this script, seen it many times -- they did a good job of keeping to the main story and not having too much extra going on.
PSA new viewer's this is worth your time...FL is no push over nor afraid of her sexuality ergo the few intimate parts are not awkward...ML is attractive and supportive..kids are adorable dispute suspicions...writer's a nd director's did not waste much time on useless dialogue aka screen time on 2nd leads sheninanigs...FL real parents are typical humble poor villager that raised a snake who stole & her mother is cliche people does not fall from tghe tree....this is a 8.9/10....because more time SHOULD be spent on the relationship btwn ML the FL and children.
This version is lacking in the story. I wouldn’t know what was happening if I hadn’t already watched another version before. Things just seem to happen without clear explanation or clearly acted out like in the other version. But I still enjoyed it. There’s a warmth to the family in this version. Maybe because there isn’t as much chaos or constant angry shouting. 😂
I've watched this same story probably a dozen different times but when I saw who the fl was I was like, YES! I love her acting, so far I've yet to see her be bad in her acting ability.
I tend to like these retro dramas, but the one thing I can never figure out is how they know their daughter was switched. It’s not like they had DNA testing back then to verify. Some chick just shows up and says I’m your real daughter, and they just accept it? Sounds fishy to me. 🤷🏼♀️
Wow. After many days of watching Chinese drama I came across this fantastic one. Really great to watch. Everything is the best. So interesting. It will always remain in my watch list.
I’ve seen many versions of this storyline. Can you describe what the original version is like? Like how many kids, what the FL took from her adoptive parents house when she left, etc My favorite version is the one at the end, it turns out that the drama was a book and the writer wishes for her own ML like in her story. The ending is not my favorite but the ML and FL chemistry is my favorite. That one only had 2 kids, a brother and a younger sister.
@@jennyjen1399I've seen a few of those actually ( and not all endings end up waking up from book rather end at the wedding with a family picture)...Is this script like a really an old one? As it had a lot of missing parts. So I wondered if the other "pig farms script" are original or morphed into those versions from this original. And the FL didn't push to earn her own money, "it felt so 2000 thinking". All the other versions there's a girl power element of earn money or use MLs money wisely.
@@jennyjen1399 In the original version, The little girl is mute? the husband is a pig farmer and the FL is a firecracker... When she left her adoptive parents home, she took everything including the lightbulb from her bedroom ...🤣🤣🤣 that was my favorite scene and their first night together, the husband changes his mind about not wanting kids?? Does it sound like the one you also saw??? There are 2 versions, where the FL is back in her world and she is the writer/or wakes up after reading the book..... imo that's the best version and the original....You can find clips of it here on YT as " i became a stepmother in the 1980s " but not the full story anymore..these clips are like 1 to 3 min long.
The plot can be confusing if you haven't watched this kind of story before. However if you're already familiar with this plot (switched daughters, city life vs countryside, stepmother to several kids, abusive nanny), this one is pretty good. FL is very pretty, ML is kind and protective, face slapping is satisfying enough. Story feels rushed though so it's important to already know this kind of plot or you won't enjoy it as much.

Have you noticed in all dramas based on this plot that children are always dirty or have their clothes ragged? If I was their father, I would have sued the nanny for child abuse, and changed her then and there only .... Even if i am busy in my career, i will not be blind enough that i can't perceive in what state my child is in when I come to home? I would be having my volcano burst at that point only...
Sounds like he isn't home a lot, so things go unchecked and unnoticed.... most abuse cases, the kid also hides it from fear of repercussions when speaking up. When it started the kids were scared of Aunty Liu, very likely they hid it from Dad. How can you complain to a person who isn't there😢
@@tarrysmileThat's true, I wish they explored that more in this type of stories, they always focus too much on drama and romance, the kids always feel like some puppets that are used only when needed, it's hard to connect with them 'cause they don't have a clear personality.

This is actually the very first version of that transmigration into 80's, became a step mother and got rich ( pig farming or something) .... this got uploaded more than yr ago in another channel but without subtitles. I agree this is a bit boring and lacking on romantic moments... and this plot remakes are much more better and interesting 😊
Oh hooray. Another Chinese drama where the female lead is sold by her parents to an old man with multiple children and we're supposed to think it's a meat cute situation because he happens to not be an old man and happens to be handsome and blah blah blah we will never talk about the fact that the parents sold their daughter ever again because he is handsome and upright after all blah blah blah
