就是夫家肖貪嫁妝的故事，無特別波瀾😅

So let me get this straight. The ML wooed and willingly married the Capital Beauty from a rich, prominent family and made a promise of fidelity and not to marry another. The couple doesn't consummate the marriage, so he leaves for 3 years and leaves the wife to supplement and care for his family and holdings. He comes back aftet 3 years with a pregnant General mistress and pretty much allows evetyone, including himself to humiliate, betray, steal, verbally and financially abuse the primary wife and promotes his mistress to co-wife along with the FL and tries to use his primary wife's dowry to pay for his wedding/betrothal to that General mistress and then tells his wife to suck it up? He then tells her magnanimously that he'll sleep with her only once and have a kid with her, but she should be happy with that? Bwahh! And she didn't poison his cuocake/dumpling? That would have been my decision. She did the right thing in divorcing his cheating ar$e and doing her own thing but i really wanted her to couple up with the prince but she's proving her worth on the battlefield. She must show her strength and i acknowledge that. The ex and his mistress can suck coca cola chicken wings for all i care. They'll need to work 24/7 on the battlefield to support his family, so good luck. The mistress appears to be already looking like she wants to leave. Oh well, that's HIS problem, not the ex's.

*_well! it's a little silly in this version coz suddenly the fL is announced to be a first-class general and her ex & his wife are third class generals and they rightfully object to that..when your family's military exploits are known but you dress up as a man substituting for the 5th brother and win fame, it is deceit..the FL should have immediately made it known to the king[who was already liking her] and got a pardon, with the announcement of the identity..And this was pre-marriage!.then the husband's family would have known her worth..next why should the court accept what the king says, is TRUE. It has to be proven. As there are no witnesses, who will prove that, the soldiers fought with a woman???so the 2FL was right to question the fL in the court..that said, where did this idea of a concubine talking against a WIFE come from. That is a strict NO-NO..Throughout the drama, the concubine threatens the fL who is the fIRST wIFE,of a higher status than the concubine-general, threatens her personal safety and her DOWRY..the husband aka the ML, tells the fL, he will NOT tOUCH her dowry, the previous night but with a letter from the 2FL, he changes tune,in front of his family and the fL, saying he will use her dowry...yes, in case of a divorce based on the SEVEN SINS[which include not serving the MIL/FIL, not treating the SIL as a sister, or preparing for her wedding/dowry, not giving a son for the mansion, not serving husband etc etc], they could divorce her--then she wouldn't get back her dowry, as the FAULT is hers....which is why an imperial edict does wonders..If the order is from the king, there are no excuses...why does she withhold the edict??? because in the original version, the husband gets remarried and on the day of the marriage of her husband to the concubine, the fL uses the edict, in front of all the guests to say she is DIVORCED, but only after safely moving out her DOWRY from the mansion,using the mansion helpers she pays for...that is NOT SHOWN here...most of the important scenes are missing..And in another version, the fL walks on COALS to get an imperial verdict, that was how difficult it was to get a divorce from the woman's side..And on the DAY of the WEDDING of her ex aka ML, she throws the VERDICT on his face and the DEBT collectors come to the wedding, to ask back their DEBT[which the ML had borrowed for his wedding to the concubine]..so this version is OK, the fL and the husband acted good..one really hated the husband and wanted to see him face smashed,lying on the floor but that didn't happen..the humiliation of the in-laws' family was NOT cOMPLETE..imagine the fL going to war with these traitors, who could harm her or the army!!! anyways good to WATCH it ONCE, for the fL_*

Ml is an idiot all the way to the end. He definitely will regret once he sees her on the battlefield. He literally had the perfect wife but betrayed for an idiotic and selfish woman. I feel the emperor had spies in the general house because either or or his men would show up and pretty much make fun of the general and his little side piece while spoiling the fl. I loved everytime one of the general family members would say something about if she could ever marry again or if she did it would only be because of her title and I'm over like did you not just see how the emperor is treating her it is so obvious that he wants to take her home. And I'm almost all for that but he is an emperor rarely did they ever just have one woman all their lives since part of their duty was to make as many heirs as possible but he did say she would be his only one but she already got stabbed in the back with that promise before. Her mother was selfish and had bad eyes she literally sent her daughter into a family of gold diggers. I liked the flashback of her military days. She literally told the future king to grow up and take care of her for the rest of her life. Of course she didn't know who he actually was and she said it jokingly but he definitely took her seriously and know she has to deal with a king pursuing her. 😂

I wish one of these versions would have fl marry the hot emperor for once. That way, she would have the best marriage and her ex-family will remember their shame and regrets for the rest of their lives. Plus, emperor has always been supportive, especially this emperor. I didn’t particularly like this version because the script was kinda immature between ml, his family and fl and this version was depressing but I did like the 2nd half as it was different from the other versions. How is the ml supporting such a big household and none of them are helping?? ML was a jerk all the way until he discovered the fl was a gem after the divorce. I love the fl actress, which was why I watched this. I like the ml actor too but his role in this drama was 🤮 FL didn’t fight in this version, which was a bummer. She has a huge knot in her heart to revenge her dad and 6 brothers so a 2nd marriage is the last thing on her mind rn. I would love to watch more versions with a satisfying ending.
