菅沼合掌造り集落は、富山県南砺市五箇山にある集落。
岐阜県白川村と境界をなす自然に恵まれたのどかで美しい集落である。
豊かな自然に囲まれたこの集落には、9戸の合掌造り家屋が現存しており、今も人々の生活が営まれている。
かつてこの一帯は上平村と呼ばれ平家の落武者伝説が残る集落だった。
日本の原風景が残るこの山村は、昭和45年（1970年）に国の史跡に指定、平成6年（1994年）に重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に選定。
平成7年（1995年）に岐阜県白川郷、五箇山相倉とともにユネスコの世界文化遺産に登録された。
菅沼集落は、日本を代表する山村集落として、訪れる人々に時空を超えた魅力を伝え続けている。

Suganuma Gassho-zukuri Village is a village located in Gokayama, Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.
It is a peaceful and beautiful village blessed with nature, bordering Shirakawa Village in Gifu Prefecture.
Surrounded by rich nature, nine gassho-zukuri houses still exist in the village, where people still live.
In the past, this area was called Kami-taira Village, where the legend of the fallen Heike warriors still remains.
This mountain village, where the original Japanese landscape remains, was designated as a national historic site in 1970, and in 1994 it was selected as an important preservation area for groups of traditional buildings.
In 1995, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture and Ainokura in Gokayama Prefecture.
Suganuma Village is one of Japan's representative mountain villages, and continues to convey to visitors a charm that transcends time and space.
