Kyudo does not precisely target the center of the mind. It is a martial art competing how beautifully it releases arrows. So you do not have to turn it into a small bow.
@@kennsugi The man is a hanshi. You should appreciate continuing to challenge yourself even at an old age with the ability to adapt to increased load on your body and (still) hit the target. If you want something easier, shoot compound.
I have continued Kyudo for more than 40 years and now I am 82 years old. My aim of Kyudo is to discipline my mind. "Correct shooting is necessarily followed by hitting the center of a target." is the truth. When a shooter become old and his arms shake as drawing a string, he must change his bow to more soft one. If he continues to use a bow shaking his arms, shaking may become more terrible and will never recover even if he changes his bow to very soft one. It is too late. He must quit Kyudo. I respected him as a no.1 shooter before his arms did not shake.
