Now if this had been a judo match, the results would have been different. But it was a Kyokushin match, so the winner was obvious. The Bulgarian fighter was on his way to a body KO anyway when the match ended. Not a very good title match, but that's what happens when one fighter is not there "to fight." The Bulgarian appeared to be ready to fight. His opponent appeared to be ... "there."

With out all IKOS there can never be a world kyokushin champion , Yes the quality has been reduced very much .

in the moment Valeri is the best kiokoshin fighter in the world.he is a 3 time world champion and 13 time european champion .Nobody can do that .Valeri Dimitrov live and train in small country ,but this country have a tradition and best fighter on the karate word like -emil kostov ,alexandar komanov .zaxari stoqnov and other good fighters

are you trying to say that Karate doesn't have punches and elbows to the head? because it does and to have these unrealistic rules in place makes the fighting pretty ridiculous, as shown in many Kyokushin style fights where fighters just stand toe to toe, head and hands down, trading body shot after body, then sometimes a random and ridiculous jumping flip kick to the head because they aren't allowed to punch or elbow to the face

Watch the Women's lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight title matches instead of this farce. Especially the womens lightweight "war" between KATO and Gridneva. I'm serious! Kato, Sato, Ciuplyte, and Shoguchi are what Kyokushin is about. Osu! One more thing; how do you show such a lack of Kyokushin heart, soul, and spirit in front of your fellow Lithuanian countrymen and teammates. Come on man...you were there to FIGHT...not to show us how much your previous matches took out of you. Shame!
