Love this from Thailand here! i am his fan since last year. He is so outstanding! Even he is not that tall, he still shines on the court! Looking forward to seeing him play in university or club henceforward.
I'm convinced that the team that posts the biggest threat to Higashiyama isn't another teams that qualified for nationals but Rakunan their prefecture rival
Late but have to agree on that. I think that Higashiyama would have won nationals if not for that covid case. The no 5, hanamura, although is not at takahashi's level, but having a monster like him in the shadows is scary to think. Its frightening to even think about higashiyama's squad depth
@@notnubby5508 the current Higashiyama is a totally new squad, they lost to Rakunan... Well, there's a lot of 3rd years there who's been playing together for quite some time, but the games were tight from start to finish I think Higashiyama has became more attractive to recruits after Coach Rio(Ishikawa's college coach) has been added. He's also the one who helped Ran Takahashi improved fast. Ran was pretty much ignored, and not even in the under category to represent Japan, but he's now on the senior team. That 6'8 guy is MB, Asano Kento. He'll be a force in blockings. Their new setter is already 2nd yr, who won best setter in national junior high competitions. Their best recruits are probably the rookie ace, Daiki Bito and the best junior high libero... I forgot his name. It's only been few months since they played together, so they'll probably lose again vs Rakunan in Haruko quali this oct or nov, but they'll get better once they get used to Higashiyama's fast paced 3 dimensional offense.
I disagree with you but 楠本 is indeed a really great player. I think his strategy is interesting. He's running quick when they receive free ball, even he's in the backward. He had a lot great shots by running quick which are pleasure to watch. Amazing synergy with the setter 中島 in the university.
