Where Is That Bustling Marketplace Now ~ Immemorial Marketeers, definitely my least favorite Final Boss Theme from the series as a whole. I don't really know, there's just something lacking from it. It really isn't all that catchy except for that "da da da da da da da da da" part... You know what I'm talking about. Overall I was pretty disappointed with the game, but that's only because the last 3 have been really good with world-building and introducing important powerful characters! Like Junko! Keiki! Okina! Hecatia! And so much more! Not to mention her design really sucks... It isn't cute at all! Or elegant! Worst designed Final Boss! But I can understand with quarantine definitely being a factor in this game's creation. It seemed like ZUN was getting irritated with the COVID situation and especially with how much debugging he had to do on his own with the game, it must've been hell! I don't blame him for wanting to go to a hot spring! I think something big is coming up for the series. More and more ZUN is eluding and mentioning the creator God's Izanami and Izanagi through Keiki and now these "Izanagi Objects". I feel like I read something about one of their loincloth being involved in this story too... Huh...
Anyways! The only reason I did this was because I wanted it to sound cooler! I figured since Chimata has some sort of connection with Izanagi/ Izanami, I should elude a bit of Keiki's theme and Theme of Eastern Story into it! So you got this beautiful mess. I kinda like it a lot honestly. Kinda been stalling on it though... Sorry!

I get what you mean about the lacking, but it makes sense with Chimata since she was a *dying god* she is based of all the economic downfall from the impact of covid- all the small marketplaces have been dying out and as such, Chimata was beginning to fade away. She had to go to gensokyo for this reason.

I absolutely love Chimata, her design, and her theme. I find it ironic how you like all those aspects of her the least, but did such a perfect job conveying her story and power in this arrange. This made me love Chimata and her theme even more, so thank you. :) You have an incredible talent

I say I really disagree with your description, I think Chimata's design and her theme is great, but I can see why people not like her design and her theme. But regardless, you made it sound even better and enjoyable, I appreciated.

@@fujiwaranonekobiodrando1257 It isn't as simple as the others, so it's different and thus worse than previous designs (in the eyes of the general public) , it's a thing of adquired taste more than hatred for it I personally don't dislike it, it's fun to draw, but i would prefer to draw other final bosses

Unconnected Marketeers is just a very inconsequential game in general. It’s supposed to be a sort of fun filler episode in the series, and Chimata fits perfectly for the kind of game UM wanted to be. I think giving *every* game a grand final boss isn’t really necessary, and I don’t think the story or the game in general suffers from this decision. I can very easily assume that a lot of thought and effort was put into Chimata’s inspirations, design, and execution from ZUN’s part. Even though I disagree with how you view Chimata, I still want to say this is a very good take on her theme. I really respect that you took the time to remake the song in your own way even though you didn’t like it. That kind of motivation is where some of the best art in the world comes from in my opinion, from the desire to bring a change and reimagine an idea in a different way.

You at least deserve 1000 times the subs! This was amazing! I also don't really dig this song, it's kinda messy end goes nowhere, but you made it much more enjoyable for me. I also hear that Keiki influence alot.

Want to point out, the loincloth thing is that Chimata was born from Izanagi's loincloth. Btw like your rendition 👍

While I agree that Chimata’s design is sort of an eyesore, thematically it’s really cool. The rainbow fabric pieces that make up her dress can be seen as discarded of fabric and countries that make up political map, with the threads all around her being trade routes. Also, I like that her hair has a sky pattern.

there was this one fanart that treated the fabric pieces as completely different types of fabric with completely different designs for each which really sold the whole "physical trade" theme she has, as if she's a patchwork embodiement of people trading things

I like how Zun try to present the concept and how the final boss should has been in this game, most of bosses is good, but still I agree that I dont like her design or color choice, wish her come back again in fighting game with improved design. And I like her pose tho 🌈👆🏻👇🏻 I sometime do it when I’m alone.

Yeah, Chimata is kinda the odd one regarding the final bosses... her impact on the series as a whole os way lesser and she doesn't feel like she has that much if any potential to appear in a later installment

I actually did start it and have the project saved, but I had something kinda like writer's block that made it hard for me to continue it. I'll definitely try again though! It's tough!

You did a good job with your arrange, but i'm not too much of a fan personally. I think there may be an overreliance on ZUNpets, and I'm not sure I like the overall changes, it just makes it seem a tad more jarbled. I love what you were going for though, and your guitar bit sounded amazing, but I think the trumpet mixing might need some work. Some notes throughout it were also out of key I think, at least listening to it back. Anyways as for the description, I think I disagree with your opinions, most notably because of how what Chimata represents is very intelligently done on ZUN's part as a commentary on the doujin market, among other things. It's a fascinating story, and I don't think just because it doesnt' reach to the scale of previous games that it's necessarily bad. While I do agree this final boss theme is "weaker", that's still a fine thing. It doesn't need to reach Entrusting This World to Idols, because that's not what the theme is trying to do, narrative wise. I'm still of the opinion that Chimata's theme is nice! It's well constructed, highly unique and experimental, and if anything highlights ZUN's strength as a composer just as well as any other work. As for her design, well, I personally think it's fun but it's not for everyone. But I don't agree at all with it being the worst design. IMO I think everything about what she represents with her character makes so much sense with her story, and she has a pretty cute face to boot, so that's how I feel about her. I think it's better to design her as memorable and unique than something that's too safe and blends in to be unforgettable anyways.

Totally agree with you. This is my least favourite final boss theme by far. It just sounds like an arrangement of the previous final boss theme lol. And Chimata's design is also not as elegant or interesting as previous 2hus.

Yeah, probably this theme is underwhelming because it isn't as good as the previous ones, i mean, the previous final boss was Keiki, so very high expectatives... The theme is just standard Touhou (which is s pretty high standard). You made a great work at giving it just a little more power so it's more awesome and matches precious final bosses themes
