I do agree that replacing air-bail with thin wire bail wan't a good move. Also zinc alloy gear is negative but hence the price, you can't ask too much. The only reason why I like this reel is it has aluminium body and metal oscillation gear, where in Certate and Exits and many other MQ models has plastic gear and they will break with heavy loading usage. Also best thing about this LT body reels are that you can service the reel really easy when the reel is dunk in salt water. XD Thank you for the in depth review of the reel.
As for me, the worst part of this reel is MagSealed, the only reason why I probably never buy a reel from Daiwa. It's almost useless and you have to replace it time to time, garbage.
@@apocalypsecat1665 Not a big fan of MagSeal my self but it shouldn’t be the reason why you should not get a Daiwa reel. BTW if you don’t like Magseal but like Daiwa reels then Exceler is something worth to have a look at for a small reel. Much better than Shimano Ultegra which is in same class IMO.
@@ejwnd nah, I don't like "plastic" reels, I know that carbon is not exactly plastic, but it feels very cheap. They are lighter, no complains, but accuracy of casting and overall power of metal is better in any comparison. Lexa and high-end Daiwa from aluminium or magnesium alloys look promising, but I don't want to have any business with MagSealed. So probably I would prefer Abu Garcia's reels of new lineup.
@@apocalypsecat1665 Fair enough. Only reason I don't like about Zaion or CI4 is it flex. I still have Caldia Kix with me that has aluminium body with no mag seal and CRBB bearings which seems a lot stronger than modern reels. XD
