This one is ok, but most of his songs are written to be “ancient Chinese Style” It’s meaningless to translate into modern Chinese for that causes the loss of beauty. Not to say translate into English, it’s cringe
@@DIABLOSYT-rp9nz These songs are written in "classical Chinese"(文言文). It was common in ancient time because they didn't got that many papers to use. Therefore, the words they use have to be very succinct, and sophisticated. (also elegant in poetry and songs) (It was basically only for written uses, even ancient people don't speak like that in casual occasions.)
These songs are not 100% in classical Chinese(文言文), it's like 60% 70%. back to the topic, how should we understand the song more thoroughly. It's one thing to read, it's another to get the poetic feeling. Translating makes you understand the story behind the song. if you got that poetic feeling from the words then you're 10/10.
