As student athletes step on to the glamorous stage of the High School Basketball League, what we as spectators seldom see is their struggle to balance between their two full-time responsibilities, being a “student” and an “athlete.” The collaboration among three key parties, the school, teachers, and the players, is critical to support the student athletes in their high school careers. They need to strive for excellence not only on the court but in academic success and future possibilities.
