I cried i ain't gonna lie, it hit me cause my brother was playing Jin cause HE IS A Jin main and when the song hit and did the camera switch and it was my turn is like full circle I AM A Devil Jin main, it was awesome, plus it remind me playing T5DR on the Psp and hearing this theme and i never lost against the CPU on that Stage. Such a sureal experince
I always thought this song had a weirdly epic and triumphant feel for being associated with Devil Jin. Having it be the song to which Jin finally breaks the chains on himself and accepts his Devil Jin form as part of who he is was a great move from Tekken 8’s story.
I agree, you hit the nail on the head. Besides Jin's Tekken 3 theme, this has always been the perfect theme for an iconic anti hero in him. This was song was an amazing moment in T8 for me as a fan and as a dark resurrection player.
This is probably silly thinking on my part but I wonder if the team thought that far ahead when they made this song in the first place 😝 it sounds pretty damn good as the "chain breaker" song in T8❤
And even the stage is more "holy" than the Tekken 5 cathedral. Everything is covered in snow with white light coming through the windows and instead of the demon statues we have angels. The theme's tone is still a bit "somber", but as you said it is very triumphant and even heroic.
Honestly this playing whist jin and devil jin after all this time FINALLY connected with eachother was one of the most beautiful moments in tekken history Spend many hours of my childhood listening to this specific track and im happy to do it again now its relevant again!
After tekken 8 story mode in my opinion this is what i think of jin/DVJ Themes through out the games Tekken 3 Jin is basically good guy jin his themes just screams about being hero Tekken 5 Antares is DVJ being in full control of Jin Tekken 6 Gargoyle's perch represents Jin's hatred for the mishima family while also embracing their mentality of power is everything Tekken 5 dr Snow castle is when Jin finally accepted his devil gene and his mistakes and instead of running away from it he used his power to protect his loved ones and finally tries his best to be a better person after remembering his mother and what she taught him
Seems Devil Jin himself was purely a manifestation of Jin's Devil Gene all along. The cause of his evil ways was Jin's rejection and negative emotions which ironically enough allowed the Devil to take control himself
@@Slavkleos the Devil power wasn't really evil,it only really wanted to protect Jin all along, that's the reason that he only really appears when Jin is in need of extra power.
It always has been lol. You never fought anyone on this stage but Devil Jin in arcade mode and you never fought Devil Jin unless it was on this stage. I can still hear the guitar riff followed by "Kyoufuu wo shiteyaru!"
The Devil Gene being connected to the person's emotions makes sense. Jin thought it made him an abomination, hence Devil Jin manifested as a split personality who acted like a violent psychopath, since that's what Jin worried he would turn into. When in fact it represented his desire to protect people, that's why it always protected him too, so when he finally accepted it he had control without the need to experiment over it like Kazuya did to gain control over his own Devil Gene.
Tekken did what Street Fighter failed to do...Have a Sequence where The Main Character fight their Inner Demons and overcoming and accepting them on Screen!! *LOOKS AT STREET FIGHTER 5 STORY*
I always loved this theme since when i was a child. But on the same time i always felt that this was a little off because this is a theme that felt too heroic for someone like Devil Jin. Now after Tekken 8 i can see why, This theme was 20 years ahead of it's time, it kinda foreshadowed so many stuff lol😂😂😊
this picture just reminds me of the early 2000s. certain picture just have that early 2000s lighting like is dark but like at the same time. make me nostalgic for the old youtube to
This is still my absolute favorite video game soundtrack of all time, despite the sheer quantity of good music in video games (tekken included) this is one of the only few pieces of music that I've looped over and over again right after my very first listen, and every time I listen to it it's just as good as the first time, it's insane.
If I’m gonna be a boss fight this would be my quotes on both stages Me on the Dark cathedral:Prepare to die!😡 Me on the snow cathedral: What’s up everyone, let’s fight!🙂
It’s crazy but the power of the devil within Jin and kazuya aren’t bad it depends on how you use it or imagine it so Jin’s devil wasn’t evil or good was there to protect Jin from anything that kills him they protect the host. The fact Jin finally accepted the power and used to fight kazuya further proves Jin is meant to be the best of them all
those memories where devil jin was the boss. i think devil jin had the best moves in tekken 5-6 range. but in my opinion tekken 7 has better move list and i use jin as my main.
