【鐵路狂迷】香港鐵路公司通車 HongKong MTR Openning in 1979 

經過近4年的工程，修正早期系統的北段（觀塘 ↔ 石硤尾）於1979年9月30日完工，並於10月1日正式通車，當日舉行了盛大的通車典禮。
After nearly 4 years of construction, the northern section of the revised early system (Kwun Tong ↔ Shek Kip Mei) was completed on September 30, 1979, and officially opened to traffic on October 1. A grand opening ceremony was held on that day.
