諏訪大社下社秋宮は、長野県諏訪郡下諏訪町の東端に鎮座する神社。
諏訪湖周辺に4か所ある諏訪大社の一つ。
旧中山道と甲州街道の分岐点という交通の要所に鎮座し、境内は社殿4棟が国の重要文化財に指定。
周辺は温泉の湧出地で、境内にも御神湯がある。
社殿の形式は春宮と同じで、古くは秋宮と春宮の間で建築の技が競われた。
秋宮にも本殿がなく、宝殿の奥のイチイの御神木を御神体とする。
近年建築学会では、本殿のない社殿造の形式を「諏訪神社造」と呼んでいる。

Suwa Taisha Shimosha Harumiya is a shrine located at the eastern end of Shimosuwa Town, Suwa District, Nagano Prefecture.
It is one of four Suwa-taisha shrines located around Suwa Lake.
It is located at the junction of the old Nakasendo Highway and Koshu Highway, a strategic point for transportation. Four of the shrine buildings on the grounds have been designated as national important cultural properties.
The area around the shrine is a hot spring area, and there is also a sacred hot spring within the shrine precincts.
The form of the shrine building is the same as that of Harumiya, and in the old days, architectural skills were competed between the two shrines.
Akimiya also does not have a main shrine, and the sacred yew tree at the back of the treasure hall is the object of worship.
In recent years, the Architectural Institute of Japan calls this form of shrine building without a main hall the “Suwa-jinja-zukuri“.
