China will not allow a m/m relationship to air on TV that’s why they’re all turned into brotherhood sl’s. Maybe they shouldn’t be made at all because of the censorship laws but then again we’d be missing out on these stories. Hopefully like The Untamed with all the restrictions the love between the characters will still be felt.
If they know they can't get past censorship, why do they keep adapting BL....that too, the bl of all bl. I get it that its famous and stuff, but bl is famous because we ship the characters and they just spoil whst we love about it.😪😪
Mich Mj I’m not sure how it works in China but I’m guessing it makes them a lot of money. Look at what Untamed did last year highest rated and most watched/popular drama. I hear Guardian was similar response. They know BL is popular rn and can make them cash so that’s probably why they do it. Who knows for sure though, maybe they’re also trying to see if in the future due to BL’s popularity the restrictions against it can change. But like I said can’t know for sure.

Lynn ZL yea I’m hoping bc they did it for the untamed. Same situation was going to happen, the fans heard it and spammed the directors feed and their voice were heard
