Great video, got a lot of good ideas for what to expect when getting a sim card in japan. Can you also make a video or even just a spreadsheet regarding the internet providers, if possible with information about the quality of the service and any potential discounts when using sim card from the same provider. Keep doing the good work.
Hey, thanks for your tips ! One question, to get the Saikyo plan, I need a japanese number to finish completing my rakuten mobile account. But... I don't have any, Idk how to pass threw this step, would you know ?
Hmmm, that's weird..🤔 Basically, if you are registering as a new user meaning not switching carriers, you will be getting a new phone number, so you should not be asked to enter a phone number. I recommend you to make sure that you have selected the correct one, but if you still can not figure it out, I'll explain it in the next video, so please refer to that.
@@cezmark. I've put a random phone number... And it's totally fine, you can choose your new phone number after, there's no confusion ! Don't worry about it
Does Rakuten work for short-term international students (6 months)? Because in their application process, they are asking for documents that I don't have as a foreigner.
I tried applying for a Rakuten Mobile and I believe only Japanese and permanent residents can apply. I have a US passport and have a house in Tokyo, do you know if I can get a Japanese phone number? thanks in advance.
