Most of Köningsberg's population wether fled during WWII to Germany or got killed by British Royal Air forces's shelling. So the Soviets didn't actually get to expel many people.
Wow !!! 3 mistakes in 1 sentence. First : Old Prussians are not germans but balto-slavic tribes with balto-slavic language. Their ethnicity was closer to actual Lithuanians. They were almost exterminated by Germans. 2 : The town was not destroyed by Soviet (Russian) army but by the RAF (British Royal Air Force). A large majority of people who lived there fled to mainland Germany before the bombings and the occupation by the Soviet Union. 3. It was given to the USSR after WW2.
