六甲高山植物園は六甲ガーデンテラスや六甲有馬ロープウェーの近くにある植物園です。
11月の上旬で紅葉は色づき初めているのでこれから見ごろでしょう。
海抜865ｍの六甲山頂付近に位置する六甲高山植物園は、北海道南部に相当する冷涼な気候を利用し、世界の高山植物や寒冷地植物、六甲自生植物や、その他山野草など、約1,500種を栽培しています。
Today’s we walked Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden around in Kobe.
Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden is the oldest garden of its kind in Japan, opening in 1933. Since then, it has seen many years raising alpine plants, particularly those from the Earth's colder climes. A total of 1,500 or so flora varieties are cultivated here, including some native to Mount Rokko itself. At an elevation of 865m, the climate within the garden resembles that of southern Hokkaido. Rokko may be a suburb of Kobe City, but this garden is a precious oasis of discovery and a window into the world of alpine plants throughout the seasons.
