The Japanese maintain an old world appreciation for beauty and harmony with nature in their traditional architecture. The use of natural materials like wood and stone, along with a commitment to traditional building techniques and the gentle incorporation of modern influences creates one of the most distinct landscapes in the world. It's there artistic and spiritual reverence of their architecture in a world governed by modernist utilitarian sensibilities that makes Japan so compelling.
So interesting to see winter in another country than our own. One scene was so beautiful it looked like a painting thank you for sharing this with all of us.
雪がよく降る地方は大変ですね。 夜の高山の街を見ていると心が洗われるような気がします。 It's hard in regions where it snows a lot. Looking at the city of Takayama at night makes me feel refreshed.
*To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life* 🙏🙏❤️❤️
It looks like both a 雪国 and 日本酒の国 which is a nice combination for quiet winter contemplation next to a warm fire looking out the window. Thanks for introducing Hida Furukawa. I had only heard of Hida Beef before.
Thank you! 🙏 Lovely to see Hida no Sato and Takayama again, looking stunning in the snow. ❄ Brought back great memories when my mum and I visited in 2008. ❤🥰

I absolutely loved watching this. You made some excellent choices, first of which to have no music in the beginning. It was so peaceful to watch and listen to the natural sounds. Thank you for making this!
