I used to watch this anime with my mom. She really love this one and now I am watching it alone. I hope you are happy in heaven mama. Edited: I just want to say Thank you to everyone who gave me those kind words. I do appreciate you all. I know it's been hard for me since my Mama's departure but I am beggining to move forward. She had brain tumor and everything was soo fast, we thought it would be best if she would had a surgery and remove the tumor. But after the operation she was in coma and a week later she was called home. It was also April when she died that is why this anime is soo precious to me, whenever I watch this it always felt home. I, myself am suffering from a severe demyelinating disease. At this point, I just think that... This is what life is about. People go from and come into your life. We create memories with them. But even if they leave us behind, we still have those memories of the moments we shared together. And at the end, we all have to leave this world one day. It is just, they left before us. People always say " Why are you crying over a an anime character ? It's not even real."But that's the thing if a character in a live action series are gone , you know their actor are alive in other shows, but if an anime character dies , that means they are gone forever. Even if the voice actor is alive and you can hear them in other anime , it's not the same character . The character is totally gone and that's what makes it so sad in my opinion.

Belive me or not, after watching this anime i decided its enough sadness and deppresion for me. I decided to go talk to a therapist. I belive that this anime is not sad, its actually full of happiness. They managed to realise their dreams, Kaori made him sing again and Kohei will always and forever remember Kaori as his lover and friend, even if he didnt tell her the words, she knew he loves her and he, in the end, knows about her true feelings. Don't be upset guys, life is like this. Im crying now, im crying in therapy, im crying in my car alone and you know what? ITS OK. Thats what makes life so colourful. The feelings of sadness happiness, sorrow, this is what makes us feel alive. I hope i can cure myself and follow my own dreams, exactly as Kaori did. And if you need to hear it, I LOVE YOU GUYS. this might be right..But if you experienced it in reality, its just so goddman hard especially if you loved that person like he/she was your whole world. All we can do is to accept the fact that people comes and goes. We dont know when will theyll leave us, so lets treasure every second we spent with them. I had ironically started watching this in april and I cannot believe it's already been about 5 months since. Not too long after I bought a piano and I've been practicing everyday for about 4 months. I found a passion for playing that I hope to carry for the rest of my life and I will always remember this masterpiece.
No because I can relate to this anime so much it’s incredible, that is why I love it so much. I can feel it. I am a pianist myself and I would often play duets for concerts and competitions with this violinist called Kai. Kai was a great person who was super funny and great fun. He recently died due to overdose. Whenever I watch this anime, it will never be the same. Sometimes I just play this song on repeat and cry, but luckily I am still playing piano, but I told my manager I don’t want another partner and I will never want one again. Kai was my duet partner for 7 years. It feels so empty without him playing it with me. Back to a soloist.

They hope they'll meet again in the future, but even though if they found someone precious for each of them, and they started to make a "irreplaceable family" with that precious one, it's okay as long as they can meet again in that orange-painted town. I just finished this anime, I cried as much as Kousei did within his whole life. Kaori is such a sweetheart with a twisted heart who just died. A beautiful violinist even though there's a real violinist behind the scenes. Just why did she have to die?! Well, I guess you know what they say... "you have to lose someone to continue walking and to improve yourself as a person". But, knowing someone dying is painful, even if it's just a fictional character. You just can't accept that a fictional character died, because you wouldn't forget their kindness. I'm just glad Kaori was a character, if it wasn't for her, Kousei wouldn't even be touching the piano. If it wasn't for her, Kousei would've continued looking at his feet, now he's looking into the sky and ahead of him. If it wasn't for her, Kousei would've still be trapped in darkness, he would still be crying like a hopeless kid brother. Though, I know people hate Saki (Kousei's mother). But do know Saki is also a kind person in the inside, but she could not display it. If it wasn't for Saki, Kousei would've been playing the piano so roughly that the keys will break. l cannot describe anymore about how kind the people who helped Kousei, because there's so much. I regret dropping this anime a few months ago at just 17 minutes of the show because I saw Kaori was a "weirdo" and a crazy maniac. Maybe I shouldn't have judged so soon before I get to see the rest of the anime, huh? I learned that life is extremely painful, but you just have to live through it with a smile. Life is the biggest pain that you always feel like you don't want to live anymore, but there's so many things to live for. The only way to do that is to deal with it and always smile, smiling is what makes you beautiful and what makes the world beautiful. I heard how beautiful the violin sounds, and how beautiful does it look to be played. Kaori and the violinist behind the scenes has inspired me to become a violinist, and now I'm having deep desires for a violin. I love everyone in this anime, everyone is a well written protagonist. I dearly feel bad for Tsubaki, her childhood friend she has loved without knowing has been loving someone else. But that's just how life is, you can't control someone's love interest. Even if your best friend loves the same person you love, don't give your crush for the sake of friendship. Love is war, you have to fight to win the person. But if that person chooses someone else, it's painful, know that they will always be there for you even if they love someone else. There are plenty of fishes in the sea. You're never alone, there's always someone searching for you. This anime will always have a place inside my heart, and its messages will always be in my mind.

honestly this isn't as sad as I thought it would be, for me it lacked emotion I guess because it takes a lot more for me to cry like a bitch just because of an anime (it's so hard for me to cry so when it makes me cry, that shit is super good). I enjoyed the show tho, some parts were boring but still great overall. You should give this a try.

I've been watching anime for about 5 years and I've reached a stage in my life where I'm starting to watch romantic, emotional anime. The series lets you know something is wrong from the very beginning. Whenever something beautiful or just funny happens afterwards it always throws me back in the deep end. The closer you get to the end of the story, the more you see it unfold and the more you dread the last part, which is what happens... An emotional masterpiece that tugs at your heartstrings! p.s.: I hope I'm not the only one who watches relatively older anime that people have already forgotten (this series doesn't deserve to be forgotten!)

before I saw this anime, all of the anime I've ever watched were comedy, action, adventure, you know average shounen watching 13 year old, this showed me that anime is not only fighting and laughter, it can also express emotions of sadness, fear, anxiety, etc... in a beautiful, and amazing visual of animation. I'm glad anime is part of my life.

at the end arima plays music which contains arima's feelings of love for kaori he says "are you listening to this kaori". Kaori did listen to it even though it was from a different world and that song also became Arima's farewell to Kaori😭🥀

I like how the frame rate is focused this way, and I watched it with my eyes really opened big. This anime is so precious to me, that I can cry out of nowhere. It's almost two years, and I'll never forget how much this series taught me. Thank you.
The only anime I’ve watched. I can very much relate to this, for it accurately (almost) summarized my life as a pianist, or should I say, a musician myself. Probably the only story I wouldn’t forget, and I think this is already enough. I hereby appoint this series to be the only one I’ll be watching. This really changed something inside of me. The surroundings felt awkward and dull since then. It is a weird feeling to miss someone you’ve not even met, or even a chance to.
This Anime means a lot to me cause it's very painful to lose someone you love especially when they gave you the happiest memories that would lasts from your entire life. Maybe, The person will die but the pleasant memories will stay forever and will be remembered as a 'special moments' for the people who mourns someone's death.
I don't have a boyfriend or anything for how many years but when I play this song my heart breaks. I just can't take the ending of this beautiful anime 🥲

Gotta get this off of my chest. It still heavy so im writing this down. I dont know what ive been doing for the past 8 years, but Im glad i watched it. I can say I'm tough. I dont easily cry, but this one got me to the core. That last episode was a killer. I dont know if i'll be able to move on after this. This is literally the best anime if you wanna cry
I still can't get over Kaori's death, and the fact that Kousei never even got to tell her that he loved her is just depressing. The last two episodes broke me so hard I couldn't get it out of my mind nor stop crying.
@@eren_yeager9927 yeah that thing also bothers me. Stupid writers. They should've at least made a scene where Kousei confessed to her. Now, she has no way of knowing coz shes gone
