【AI Colorized】Eye to eye with people from 1929 China, puppet street show, nearly 100 years ago

How does it feel to watch each other from nearly 100 years ago?
This time I restored and colorized a footage from 1929 by using AI technology.
It's a street outtake about a puppet show theatre in China back then.
With original sound and audio, it's indeed very precious.

I wonder if any of those kids are still alive. They’d be around 100 now, but it’s still possible.

I hope so,but the possibility is little. It is difficult for staying alive at wartime,especially for child.

it maybe possible. THere is once a Qing denasty lady who lived 128 years old .Just 2019 or 2020 news I heard online.

I really enjoy these video's brings to life the people and gives us more of idea who they are and what life was like , and I always look at the faces and wonder how they lived and was life good to them and what was there community like, thanks for restoring the video's it closest thing we have to going back in time

Some of these kids are probably still alive today it's possible. My grandma was born around this time.... to think about it 18 years before they were still wearing the manchu pig tail.

😃我用到的基本都是开源的AI项目，可以参考description里的项目名称在github上找到对应的代码（比如DeOldify, GFP-GAN这些），也有配套的预训练模型，搭一个Anaconda虚拟环境运行即可~

@@anonanon7235 The years of communist revolution under "The Great Helmsman Mao", the starvation of about 35 million from 1959 to 1961 and the destruction of Chinese society during the cultural revolution under older Crazy Uncle Mao and his "actress" wife were very hard setbacks in the history of China. How would China have evolved under Chiang Kai-shek? Like Taiwan?
