The transition between voicebanks is so seamless... I hadn't even heard this song until now somehow...definitely well-done and each voicebanks is complemented by the music
I feel so old. The first time I saw MMD was in 2010, and it's mind blowing when they move in 3D. But now, MMD can literally be used for Anime if someone dedicated enough to do it.

Hatsune Miku's voicebank is GORGEOUS. Too many people tune her to have a too high of a voice and that in turn makes her sound too pitchy. When she's tuned right, even high notes sound amazing. But people also only get one voicebank pack and then they can't express more with Miku because they only have one, and you can only do so much with a single pack before it starts sounding bland. This is a perfect example of how to not only use multiple voicebank packs to make a song sound great, but also that tuning is KEY.
imo: original: very miku (?), lively soft: slightly cuter, the ending syllables are softer sweet: very cute and soft light: cute and lively solid: rougher, solid vivid: a little higher, livelier dark: my personal fav, ahhhh it sounds so beautiful
I absolutely love how the first and last lines of the song are the same lyric and are sung in the oldest and newest (well besides NT) voice banks so you can just straight up compare the two super easily, this video is _fantastic_ and thank you for gracing us with your talent!
I think every single is perfect. What people do not understand is that what makes a voicebank good it's how you tune it?? Like Gakupo, with no tuning it's horrible?? NT is actually good if you know how to use it and people just taking for granted that it's bad do not understand that: 1.- it's not a finished product. 2.- it's the first time crypton does something like this. 3.- V4 can sound horrible as well if you don't know how to tune it. The MMD it's great, all Miku versions are beautiful. I grew up with V3 but I will always love every single voicebank. Please do not judge none of the Miku voicebanks because every single one had work put into it and sound great if used correctly.

Complaining that any Vocaloid sounds terrible is literally the same as being a terrible guitarist and blaming it on the guitar. The thousands of vocaloid songs out there show it well the difference between abilities (or effort) of each artist.
When I saw the title of the video, I didn't see the name of the song and I just thought "yeah I want to hear what Miku's different voice banks sound like" and as soon as I heard the start of Patchwork Staccato play I freaked out cause it's literally my favorite song. I rarely see attention brought to it, so I was very pleased to see it used for this video. Thank you.

I've listened to this version so much I actually prefer it to the original... the voice changes are just so pleasing to hear and they give it real emotion
fun fact: there's a reason for Miku to sound so consistent across the different versions of vocaloid (2, 3 and 4). The original recordings from Vocaloid2 (Original and Appends) were used to create the V3 and V4x versions. While other Vocaloid voicebanks' updates were basically ports (for example v flower from V3 to V4), Miku's samples were reworked. Thus, the new versions could sound true to the original V2 Miku, but also upgraded.

Because I'm weird as I'm listening to this I'm imagining a scene where there's a bunch of Mikus, each representing a type of song she sings: Soft Miku represents all the songs about being ignored, rejected or having to deal with mental illness. Out of all of them she'll sing the most about being not real. She probably has several empty containers of ice cream in the middle of her room. Sweet Miku is the one who sings about cute and wholesome things, but has the potential to be very creepy if she wants to be. I like to think she just has a hoard of plushies somewhere. Light Miku is the one who sings about funny, bubbly and random stuff thats either meant to confuse you, make you laugh or severly make you question her. Solid Miku is the one that represents all the stories (leaning on the darker ones) that people like to tell through her songs, and possibly looks the most psychotic out of all of them. Vivid Miku is the one who actually acts like a pop star, and sings things more traditional to what we expect from those people. So it's a range between absolutely amazing to absolutely terrifying. She's also the most likely one to be upset because she's not real. (I feel like I could've mixed up Vivid and Solid-) Dark Miku represents the songs about the human experience, be it good or bad or simple or complex. She probably didn't want to do this but was forced here by Vivid or Light. English Miku is just sort of...there, wearing a t-shirt and jeans refusing to wear what the rest of them are. And Original Miku is essentially just watching all her different versions and parts interact and how they behave, and grows to appriciate how much influence they had on her to become the current version she is now.

this is so cool! i'm shit at differentiating sounds so i never understood what people meant by the different soundbanks sounding different - the samples on the official vocaloid site doesn't help since they all use different songs based on which suited the voicebank best. it suddenly became so obvious in this video how different and charming each one is.
I think it's cool how she slowly becomes less robotic as each update happens. There is something nostalgic about the original but you have to admit there is a ton more personality in V4 miku
in my opinion v3 voices are my favourite voicebanks(except for solid, v4x is my favourite as for the solid voicebank) but yyup, i agree with the fact that V2 miku is best design of all designs she ever had
While this was made to show off the voicebanks, how much she shifts and what you chose for each section really adds so much to the song! This is personally my favorite cover of Patchwork Staccato because of how she changes tone - excellent work!
It's less or more a fact that Miku is overrated. She's a very great and versatile Vocaloid, but there are many other voice banks with amazing potentials but that never get to be used because less popular.

This video is a great experience, and I'm not only admiring your cover (good job! I don't like this song, but you made me do it!), but the models. Is also awesome how has improved MMD through the years.
@@auriidraws5563 I think it sounds different because Dark and Sweet are supposed to have completely different tones than the other banks, whereas Soft and Solid are basically just suppose to be softer/more powerful versions of the original bank.
all of the miku soft voicebanks sound so good to me... they're probably my favourites :') the breathy quality of them adds so much emotion and i can't help but swoon for her...
Ending it with Miku V4X Ori really makes that it is the superior version of all (As of the latest NT Update). 😂 Im not talking it wont change in the near future so no offence
I'm a bit torn between dark and soft tbh cause they sound pretty good with the theme of the song- though v2 dark sounds like it's basically not miku (at least imo).

I love how her clothes change to match her version as each voice bank goes up a version... like we’re watching her updating as she sings. Nostalgic to hear V2 Miku and her design again, haha.
