I don't know which country this is set in, but many countries have laws against forgery. I imagine that it would be a high-risk strategy to admit forgery to someone you had appointed as your enemy.

Molly asks why anyone didn't ever say anything about what's going on in the family. Really? Molly lives in that house but not paying attention to what is going on in the household. She waited until her husband and son was out of town to forge the signatures of her son and DIL. I could just imagine the father/son coming home and finding out what Molly did. If I was a neighbor, I would be sitting near my open window with popcorn.

It's a catch 22 situation. In order to restore the marriage Molly would have to confess she was committing a crime. As for OP the situation is a perfect solution to her problem.

One thing I'll never understand about this generation is the inability to mute or block these text harassment's. If you don't read them they won't bother you.

I find it amusing that the idiot of a MIL assumes that the DIL still has to take care of her. "I'm still your MIL, you can't do this." In the first place the DIL was NEVER responsible for her MIL, and the woman doesn't even carry the title MIL anymore.. Adults are responsible for themselves. I can understand children feeling responsible for parents, it they love their parents, but that doesn't necessarily mean that a child's marital partner is obligated to care for the partner's parents.

Afterward: Some time later, the house would be burned down, with cctv footage from nearby houses showing it was Molly and her family that did it. When arrested, they admitted that they were trying to send the ex daughter in law into debt by preventing her from selling the house so she could recoup some of the money she wasted on them. All this ended up doing was allowing her to sue them for huge amounts of money, and netting them arson charges.

Not to be mean to all people who might have their MIL living with them: but that sounds like a fricking nightmare to me!! Noway would I have a MIL living in my house for the first 15-20 of marriage.. Newly married couples need to establish their own life before allowing a MIL in their house..
