My son (22) still lives at home. He just walked in and snorted "Holy Heck, Mom! THANK YOU for NOT being like Little Timmy's MOM!" (He went out with friends one afternoon last month. He called me at 6 and said "I'm so sorry. I'm still out." I laughed and told him "You're 22. You are a full fledge adult. Besides, since no one else was home, I decided to take myself out for supper." He's an adult. Nice of him to let me know he was still out - but not a necessity. He also cleans his own room, vacuums the basement, does his own laundry, cooks about 40% of the meals, brings up my laundry if he notices the dryer has finished - FOLDED for me! And when he does move out, I will CALL before heading over with a pot of Mama's Soup - not that it matters, because I'm pretty sure he will smell it and show up at my door with a bowl.)
@@villenousiainen7899 My husband's late mother lived about a block from the ambulance station. If she heard an ambulance leaving, she would be phoning. And if she couldn't get a reply, she would call our work places, and if she couldn't reach us there, she would demand her husband drive her to our house or work places to make sure it wasn't her Sonny Boy. (He hated it! "Mom, I am an ADULT!" He got the "worrying because I am Mom" but she took it to the next level!)
Every time I hear "Can't we switch? You give me the good one and take the f-up?" I'm like "Who do you think you are? Brooke? This aint The Bold and The Beautiful sweetness." Lmao
Anybody who suggests something so despicable who be a crappy partner anyway. They talk about the significant other as if they're property with no say on the matter.
@@hellothere8811 lol Right? I grew up with my mom always having her soaps on. SO over "Days" and the others are all gone from TV. But when we get a chance, we still watch Y&R after Wheel, and The Bold and The Beautiful after that. Spoiler alert! Do you remember Sheila from TB&TB??? She's ALIVE!!! 😲
Nice to see Vanessa and Tim, even after divorcing are still on good terms and care for each other. Refreshing to see a story where divorced people get along 👍👏
I think it would have been awesome if it turned out he was transferred near her and they ended up back together. And then blocked Momma Crazy Britches completely. Oh, and his dad moved near them cuz apparently he's cool
Indie is a ungrateful child, after everything this woman has done and sacrificed to raise you this is how you repay her? By cutting her out of your life? Be careful what you wish for, you might not like it
I normally won't listen to these clips that are over 1 hour long, but clicked on this one by mistake. Have to admit, the stories were great and the narration didn't disappoint!
It's really sad if you think about it. A lot of older women grew up having it beaten (sometimes literally) into them about what a woman's place is. Now that women are doing way more and what they weren't allowed to do. So, bitter and petty try to force younger women into the same miserable existence they lived.
No one in these stories EVER heard of blocking a nuisance, calling a cop for threats, thefts or violence to their person, real or threatened. All of the list is suitable for civil suits with damages, and most of them are crimes. Especially when taken to the extent that the stories describe.
Blocking is a fifty/fifty thing. If they know where you live/work/hang out and know your friends, they will get to you. I found it easyer to move 1,000 miles away and change the phone number.
Um...Apple Texts come from Japan. A hostess in Japan is a euphemism for a woman who works at a club as a prostitute. These clubs are run by the Yakuza, the Japanese mafia. She's working there because she's in debt to the Yakuza and has to pay off the debt. The only job a woman would have in a club owned by the Yakuza is on her back.
@@average-art3222 Hostess clubs aren't brothels, but they they carry a similar cultural stigma in the minds of highly conservative Japanese people. It's not even that it is considered a disreputable job, but that it *isn't* a high prestige job -- and in Japanese culture, reputation is so important that something as trivial in the Western mind as working for a temp agency after graduation is considered a permanent black mark on one's career.
My Mum also raised my three siblings and myself on her own. She never expected to be paid back. She was a hard working woman. She worked during the day and attended night school. She became a teacher and was also promoted to head of her department. She died over 20 years ago, but I’m so proud of her as she accomplished a lot whilst bringing us up. She also bought a house in 1960’s .
Hag expects to be paid back for what she was legally required to do in the first place. Mari has been brainwashed into supporting her mom when she owes her nothing. Mari is a freaking adult, she needs to brow a set and not put up with this nonsense.
Laura just got the wrong guy, poor thing you went out of your way to bag a rich man while trying to steal your friends guy. Too bad he's not going anywhere near the top
😆 omg who did you clean it while you were were you out there minding somebody else's business instead of your own I know their mother-in-law holy crap. 😅😅😅
Mil do you understand what a divorce is?? She has no responsibility to do anything for you or your son. Karma needs to give her a wake up call, and a visit to the looney bin
Ikr like I would not like coming home to some stranger in my home. With that my home is being cleaned I wouldn't press charges just say thank you for cleaning and don't come back unless you really want to clean some more 😂.
A few years later.. when donald died, Indie's mom tried to reconnect with indie herself. She found out that indie committed suicide and that her mom was never told. Indie is buried in a pauper's grave. Now Indie's mom has no one to help her. She's filled with regrets now.
This story bothered me a lot. I did not enjoy this one. I think you are right, despite the daughter Indie's behavior, the mother should have forgiven her and tried to help her daughter when she got in trouble. There is no guarantee that anything the mother did would save her daughter's marriage but she should have tried. Not as clear cut as the other stories.
Sorry folks, but I'm on the mom's side. You wanna be a douche?? Indie got a dose of that KARMA BITES!! Her mom was nothing but nice. God don't like ugly! If Indie changes and truly repents, then yes mom may reconsider, but otherwise, leave the back biting snot to her own devices.
They might be trying to recreate the soap operas lol Just last week, I was watching one (I'm a sporadic watcher) and I looked over at my mother and was like "When did Diane and Jack get together?! And who is THIS OTHER guy?? It's only been two weeks since I last watched!! What's going on?!?!" Lmao
@@georgiegal6745 after my 2 younger kids went to kindergarten I gave it a shot. Only because of how quiet the house was with all of them gone. no clue what the soap was called. one of the stories was this chick named Vicky who was being held in someone's basement or something. I went on to watch the soap every now and again. 2 weeks or later one of the men said, "we need to rescue vicky cause she's been missing for 2 days". and I went, "2 WEEKS?? I been watching this crap for 2 weeks and she was already missing when I started". that was my last episode, and I began listening to the radio instead
There are some persons that cannot be satisfied unless they take what someone cherishes, be it items, or another person. They do not even WANT what they take, often discarding it, leaving chaos in their wake and '(tears) cannot understand why everyone is SOOOO mean.
Yes but stuff like that happens in real life too. My best friend called MY boyfriend during dinner at my house to come take her on a movie date…..and he left….mid meal. I had been babysitting her 3 kids over night for months because she worked the night shift while I was going to college during the day while my 3 kids were in school. She never reciprocated but I stupidly excused it. Well, I lost my boyfriend and friend but she lost her free babysitter and ended up losing her job when she couldn’t find another sitter….AND…. the crappy boyfriend dumped her a couple of weeks later and he came sniffing around my door but I told him to get lost. I moved away and later I heard she had his baby but he had a new woman by then. Karma is a bitch.
A picture of the divorce decree and the courthouse who processed it and the judge who signed off on it. If she doesn't believe that she can check the courthouse herself. Divorces are public record.
Wow Mildred, talk about being discriminatingly two-faced. Somehow I doubt her husband Frank will go to Mildred's wedding. Let alone by anyone else. Sandra you rock
man sharon kinda messed up she knew the whole time and said nothing op being used still i mean she her friend so she should know her struggles/reason to an extent. she a pushover
Why do you have to pay your mom for anything? You didn't ask to be born. Put the money in a different account and move out. Let her make her own money for once
Mari, you don't have to put up with mother's crap. You are an adult she can't take your money. It's yours. Change your bank accounts. Take control back. Your mother is stealing from you. Find an apartment and leave. Let your friend help you.
Mildred you really shouldn't look down on people for their past. We all have one and while not everyone's was great, that's where it stays. Just think this is going to be a past mistake for you Mildred
No one owes you payback for raising them. You literally chose to raise them. Also you don’t wanna hear back talk? I’d rather you hear the dirt as it hits the lid.
Whats with the constant: "give me your man," or "lets switch partners" As if men have no say in the matter! People are not handbags, to trade an loan. So silly.
I dont get these kids who dont talk to their parents on the regular...I cant go a day without talking to my mom! I'm 38, married, pregnant and have a son and i still talk to my mom all the time.
In some cases, it’s because the parent(s) are overbearing in one way or another. My best friend hasn’t spoken to his father in years, at least nearly 2 decades, because of how self-centered and manipulative the guy was, eventually leaving his wife and child. The former-father knows where his kid is, but never bothered trying to contact, so my friend is content with letting his “sperm-donor” die forgotten by his own child.
It depends on the type of parent you have. My mom would call me every night up until she passed away 2 years ago. My father doesn't really contact me unless he wants something. My uncle, his brother, has actually contacted me more than he has. And for the record, I'm 43.
Mildred is just a bully seriously because she's too hateful that the sister in-law use to be a hostess there's wrong with being a hostess at the club Mildred doesn't know how it is she gets what she really deserved.
Last story- seen this story a few times, this was a good one. And each generation is supposed to be/do better than the last, isn't that the whole point?? Of like, SOCIETY??! But the younger generation is supposed to also be grateful and respectful for the opportunities that they had that their parents didn't- isn't that the whole point of being HUMAN??! And having basic empathy, emotional maturity and respect??! Seems like this daughter in this story failed her part and her house of cards- built on a foundation of lies!!- came tumbling down around her...yay for the mom for going on and living her best life- WITHOUT her ungrateful brat of a daughter
These people that just have these mothers or mother-in-law's that think that they could just do whatever they want to to these women we need a backbone people. Disgusting.
The last one, she had a good job & she was doing well, it was brutal cutting ties with her mother, but I don't see why she couldn't resume her single life, or since the mother worked so hard for her to study & her husband wasa rich man I am sure if she had a student loan it was repaid in full. All the stories end up with the nasty person in poverty usually it doesn't happen.
oh yes, because children have to be thankful being raised in poverty, right? I know these stories are cheesy and bad written, yet I would advise you to read some psychology papers about how grewing up in poverty can screw up someone's psychy and can cause resentment against the parents, who are responsible for that - especially if they already low income, why also have children, they don't asked to be born into such mess, such decisions are just egoistic
@@lilithiaabendstern6303 psychology books??? It sound like you are sort of resentful. My father died when I was a baby, my mother had to shoulder the family responsibilities of 3 children, the love towards my mother is unconditional.
Mildred is now an "old lady" name that is seldom used anymore. I don't know anyone under 60 named Mildred. Just an FYI. I don't think the writers think about these things.
She's letting you know that you ain't he and how do you know what's going on in the house unless you we're in there and where is your son. Lord these story's give my PTSD a run for the money. 😮
Dont know about accounting qualifactions. I think any body would need certifying for their mental health to have any dealingd with these people. Theyre all mad and will drive you mad in if you bother with them.
Stop saying lol. The last story was ridiculous. I mean, gold encrusted chandeliers, seriously? The voice actors for the mother changed to a different person in the last few text boxes. And you all need more than one female VA.
That 2x fast-forward came in handy for this rambling. 29:30 Why the hell is a grown-ass woman letting her mother have control over her bank account and giving her money as an allowance from her own pay check?
That "Can we switch?" line makes me doubt the speaker's sanity and humanity. What does she think people are? Objects to be switched around when the one you chose doesn't suit you. As if the person she wants to get would automatically want her back if the person she's trying to switch with agrees with it.
All Mari has to say to her mother is to thank her for the only two times she did anything for her ~ opening her legs for her father and opening her legs again to deliver her. After then it was all downhill.
Blaming a child for their fathers infidelity is ridiculous. She ows her mother NOTHING. The only person taking advantage of her is her mother. Mommie Dearest is the useless one. Mari needs to get away from her Mother and her problems would be solved. Her mother is a liar is draining her dry. Her mother treats her worse than a rabid dog. Get out and get a real life.
"My little Timmy", WTF. Sorry but once MIL mentioned knowing that she knew they were divorced but still insisted on acting like she can still boss the ex-wife around and she needs to still act like a wife deserves to get cursed out, stop being polite to the hag. Most women in the real world would have cursed her out halfway before the end of this. Profanity is well deserved here.
Reminds me of real life case. A mom was found guilty for contributing to the death of her teen daughter. Mom forced her 16 yo to work as a stripper. Girl couldn’t stand it and killed herself.
This woman sounds just like my old hag of a grandmother controlling my mother only but never her precious stupid other golden children MOM WORKED 2 OR MORE JOBS WHILE THEY EITHER WORKED ONE OR NOT AT ALL BUT WHO WAS IT THE HAG CALLED WHEN SHE WASN"T WOrkING OR SOMETIME INBETWEEN HER WORK DEVOIDING US OF HAVING TIME TOGETHER
I hate when women think being a housewife is easy af. All I hear is I wana go eat out and party while u work. And most likely cheat. Especially if husband is a ceo the wife has a lot to do to support him . If she’s a good mom and takes care of things then it cool but most would rather lounge around.
