As a former paratrooper who still has the 10" Corcorans....great job! The 7" would be a lot more usable. I must admit I cringed when I saw you cutting into those boots but wow what a great finish! Love it!
Nice job-the curved cut makes them unique...I did a similar mod to a pr of French Rangers.Removed the buckle flap, ground off the lugs on the sole, and replaced the lug heel withe a plain Goodyear. Now it looks much like the WW2 rough-out 7 in boot-the type worn with leggings.
awesome job as per usual. Love the music. This conversion has got me thinking about making a custom motorcycle boot like this using the left over leather to form a D3 filled malleolus protective circle that you could double stitch on. Maybe also use some to reinforce the heel counter. Just an idea. What do you think? Would it be worth the cost?
]Hello , what a great job you did on those Corcoran !!! ( from ATF ??? ) I see that the heel sole is a 90° instead the 45° of the regular , did you changed them too to correspond a type II service shoes ? Btw , i bought some outsoles from you earlier to resole a WWII original Corcoran jump boots , i can't wait to see the result ( Super grip half sole / trooper cork heel ) . Amazing job and story i reed from stitchdown !!!
