HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! remember when i told you to expect more content from me this fall? that was kind of a lie... but i'm currently getting some stuff ready, i swear! i started this cover a couple months ago to test defoko cv's capabilities; tuning this took forever, but i managed to mix this in about an hour. i feel super proud of my work here, tbh!

for this cover, using defoko’s CV voicebank felt very important; i wanted to prove that CV can, in fact, be a very fluid & natural recording style (when effort is put in)!! who are some of *your* favorite CV utau voicebanks???

HELL YEAH EVEN WITH JUST A CV DEFOKO SOUNDS JUST AS GOOD AS THE OTHER VCV VOICEBANKS!! Just goes to show that no matter what voicebank you use, it'll sound good as long as you tune it right :D

idk why but something about how you can hear the emotion in Defoko's voice made me want to cry. I just came here from the "My bread was burnt to a crisp" video with AKITO. GAH DAYUM that's some amazing tuning.

I never thought about using a different vocal synth on harmony to elevate the vocals on the main vocal synth, that could be really sick For defoko specifically it makes her pronunciation more clear and she also just sounds great with Miku

This cover is STUNNING!! There’s no syllable delay, Defoko sounds clear and smooth, and it still genuinely impresses me how a voicebank that originated from text-to-speech can sound this amazing. 200/10. 💜

i actually didn’t! i exported the raw UTAU audio renders, mixed it in my audio program of choice, screen-recorded UTAU, & synced the video up to the finished audio while editing :)

@@CrescentP ohh, how do you export the raw UTAU renders, and how do you match the vocals up with the music without having the music track? Sorry I’m pretty new to UTAU
