@@КонстантинПаршуков-о6б Good point. Dmc 3 I think there was a way you could trick down fast enough to catch them with lunar phase before they hit the ground but I may be wrong
Uppercut, Lunar Phase, Starfall, Kick 13, any stun move, Dragon Breaker, Flush, Lunar Phase again and starfall. (Made that up just now, tell me if it’s good)
Void slash & judgement cut end is really cool. I wish we would have a normal Force Edge and not Mirage Edge. I like the Force Edge from DMC4 and the sound of it. Having a real sword is cool, but having a "magic" sword is also cool. Both is nice :D
worst part is they could have added new skill sets or new weapons for vergil ,, its like they only coding from previous versions and using in new versions
I get what youre saying but they didn't reuse code Thats impossible. This is a new engine after all. All movesets from this game was mocaped by a stuntman in a suit, sometimes on wires and then cleaned up by the arts and animation department. I do agree our boy needs a new moveset though.
It is concentration gauge, it pretty much boost Vergil’s attack If the concentration gauge full, Yamato attack range increase, Beowulf access to charge attack up to level 3 and Mirage Edge hit more hit in a single strike. Also the Judgement cut will be bigger and deal more damage
One thing I noticed about Vergil's dodges is that he'll perform his SDT side dash if you dodge immediately after performing an attack while in human form.
@@mysmallnoman In the heat of a fight an enemy can attack you while the current attack animation isn’t finish you can still input strafe before the enemy attack connects to evade and the move is designed to be used like this. As you can see the dodge isn’t fluid like dante’s trickster dodge plus if you input strafe right at the time attack connects (while still in attack animation) you get this nice slowing down effect compensating for the strafe animation because techniquely the strafe happens after you received the attack😍
i always laugh seeing it cause that is the Real Vergil lol he may claim he isn't that way but we all know the truth, cannot admit him and Dante are more alike than he believes
it is one of my favorite provocations that and his doppleganger dancing as if possessed by Dante, which just proves Vergil is as big an idiot as Dante lol
@@yaqubebased1961 both his arms clip through his wings, and his MirrageEdge clip through his tail Hell this one (10:37) taunt i hate the most cause his sword just clip through the sheath with no proper sheathing animation, why.. 1. its a reused animation from 4SE 2. 5SE was made during covid, so its was a hard time for animation 3. Its not a Katana, its Nodachi. So its not perfect ok..
A lot of people don't know about it, especially new players who first joined the fandom during DMC5 - Vergil can use Judgement cut from ANY sheathing animation. Every attack/combo that has his visibly sheathe makes it possible to use it, also, the timing on the perfectly timed JC is when the sword briefly flashes during sheathe animation (3 frames on ground/4 on air - also differs a bit in Sin DT) Also, if you have your Doppelganger summoned, timing your attacks can cause the Doppelganger to use Judgement cut as well regardless of your weapon in use.
@@yaqubebased1961 It works with two of his taunts. The D rank one and the SSS rank one where he does the kata. Also when he sheathes Yamato in mirage edge combos
You missed a few things. You didn't show Air Stinger, Vergil blocking a projectile, and the different speeds/mode of doppelganger. Other than that, this was pretty solid.
It's a reference to how Vergil's base DT is in 3 and 4. His left arm has a physical demonic scabbard for Yamato. Even had claws to hold the blade in place in a similar function to an actual katana scabbard and it would rotate out so he could grip the scabbard and draw the sword as if he was using it in his human form.
Here's something that no one talks about: Vergil's SDT acts just like a regular DT, it can talk, it can walk, it can use any devil arm, it can taunt, it executes any normal combo and it can't really fly - unlike Dante's SDT, which cannot talk or taunt, cannot use any devil arms except DSD, it doesn't walk but flies and has its own moveset.
The theory is that it's due to the brother's ideologies. Dante embraced his human side, so he has less control over his demonic power. This makes his SDT more beast-like and generally unpolished. Vergil embraced his demon side, giving him total control over his SDT form due to his extended training with his demonic power.
Dante's can't talk? One time I used it at the beginning of the urizen 3 fight while dante was still talking and heard it say something about power being a pile of shit.
that's a cutscene line, it's just a game mechanic. if Dante could talk in SDT, he would instead of just demonic growls. In both base and DT, he's constantly yelling out and saying one liners for moves but in SDT it's just beastly noises
You know what i think about Mirage Edge? It's like Vergil decide to make use one of his usual Summoned swords, or in this game it's called Mirage blades and their size is like a dagger blade, into a fully fledge weapon to resemble the Forced Edge since we know that the real Forced Edge has already transformed into Devil Sword Sparda. Pretty neat idea and makes Vergil a really resourceful person. I've been watching your videos for awhile ever since i randomly come across one of it, sir. But at this moment, i finally clicked on that "subscribe" button. I've joined the fold, keep up your good work. I like it... Jackpot.
It's insane that Vergil kept Beowulf with him after falling into the Underworld, before getting possessed by Mundus becoming Nelo Angelo, then with his soul freed by Dante while on Mallet Island. That's some neat lore info hidden every time we play as Vergil in each 'Special Edition' of DMC3, DMC4, and DMC5(not counting DmC Devil May Cry because that game has it's separate continuity).
When I learn how to animate, I might create some animations relating to Devil May Cry. This video is perfect to watch to learn Vergil's fighting style, combos, and his abilities.
4:48 Messatsu Goshoryu!! Dragon Breaker/Divine always felt like Shoryuken/Messatsu Goshoryu (a 3 uppercut super in SF series for Akuma) even when Dante and Vergil does Chun-Li's signature kicks was a Capcom fan service.
Reboot aside, Vergil seems to always have his arsenal from 3:SE (except since the Force Edge turned into Sparda and then fused with Rebellion to form Demon Sword Dante, Force Edge was replaced with Phantom Edge) in any game he's playable in.
Vergil have no business returning Mirage Edge to his back like he does with Force Edge. 1. He can simply summon it on every attack, hold it for a second, then make it disappear. Kind of like what Dante does with DSD. 2. Imagine if he leaves a Mirage Edge Blade in the enemy every Stinger and Million Stab. Marking the enemy for Air Trick, (and also to detonate with certain Yamato moves.)
well by that point Vergil is now on a greater level of power than he was before, by eating the Fruit and fusing back into a whole being he did what he essentially set out to do and that is surpass his father in every form, not only that but he accepted his humanity making him that much stronger. he would not need Force Edge anymore cause of it and like you said can now just simply summon it, i think he just returns it to his back to feel more like their Father more as a honor than anything else
Vergil is in the DCM History my absolutely favorite character. Make you only Videos in this form? Or do you make Background Story's Ranking's and other Videos?
I'm gonna make a Vergil moveset for Dragon Ball Fighterz style combat system. Shut up let me have my fun. What’s the input for the dash at 9:35? I can never seem to get that for whatever reason😫 Like I know I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t figure it out.
The upward kick is to reposition Vergil near the target again to follow up with another combo Because Starfall itself causes knockback even if it is the only weapon's chase move
You can see the slight afterimages when he performs judgment cut, meaning he's teleporting to the enemy, cutting them a bunch, then teleporting back in the same position to look cool. And with judgement cut end, there's a slight difference to the dmc4 version. In 4, you see a bunch of SDT clones fly back to Vergil, meaning he needed them to complete it. But in 5, there's no such clones, showing he's gotten much stronger and much faster to do it on his own.
To be fair.. Dmc4 Vergil is the Vergil before Dmc3 and meaning he shouldn’t have Beowulf nor Force Edge and while in Dmc3 he just disappears in the judgement cut end and it’s basically just aggressive random multiple judgement cuts all over the place, but in Dmc5 Vergil can hit any target at the same time even if the enemy was away from him
for some reason after I defeated goliath in dmd I tanted and vergil used the "this shall be your grave taunt" except he had the mirage edge and Beowulf equiped at the same time and he wasn't in sdt
Anyone else miss the metallic ringing at the end of Devil Trigger Yamato Combo C in DMC 4? I really do, it was just something special, you know? When you land that Final Cut and the metallic ring echoes out?
