0:02 Vergil: "this has nothing to do with you, stand down!" Nero: "nothing to do with me? has everything to do with me?" Dante: "Hu-Hay-Wa-Woo-Ha-Yu TriCK yA"
It's actually funny how their fighting styles synch so well. Dante goes in charging head first while Vergil paces around the fight patiently waiting to strike while he throws Mirage Blades.
I.e. Dante is very balls to the wall and aggressive while Vergil is patient and methodical in his approach. Both are affective in their own right but together? Oof.
The cutscene or the gameplay? cutscene yes cause sons of Sparda are WORKING together, but in the gameplay he is a horrible boss and you have to do all the work so style switcher and you can't even use your Style nor DT, Vergil doesn't seem to help either only for second player option
boss healthbar getting low vergil: aight doppelganger SDT activate... the way nero struggles to dodge when it's now 3 vs 1 with multiple judgement cuts..
can we just appreciate that this combat system is so good, you can fight two bosses at the same time not even seeing one of them half the time and still make it work. I'm sorry it's just beautiful.
It's still kinda annoying that the camera shows only one and the other you have to constantly watch out if he is going to attack from behind and ruin your combos, I wish they could fix it so it's could work for both of them
I don't think Vergil copied it from Dante, I think he acquired it when he took Nero's arm, which is why he has it introduced this game and not the others.
Are we not gonna talk about Vergil's little lean at the very beginning when he turns around? He's like: "Don't make me get over there and be a parent!!"
This actually probably would have been a better final boss battle. I like to imagine this as another timeline where the only way Nero could get them to stop fighting is to take them both down. Vergil: "You're sluggish, are you still wounded from your fight with Nero?" Dante: "You're one to talk".
Yeah why the fuck is that one of Vergil's voice lines? It makes literally no sense and the last thing that happened was Nero bitch slapping Dante, not fighting him
@@brosam_ Yeah I think that's a little weird too. That line would have made a lot more sense if the final battle in the game was like the one in this video.
@@brosam_ late reply, but I think it’s just Vergil mocking Dante by calling a simple slap by Nero a fight cause he himself killed more demons after actually fighting him
I’m sorry but nero would’ve been ripped to pieces unless Dante and Vergil were even more wounded and tired from their fight then nero would have a chance
@@the_mseWe talk about gameplay so we can just make it work and add some sequence for beating one of them, special game over for beating none and special ending if beat both
Imagine a Buster animation, like the one Nero does in vanilla, where he grabs SDT Vergil in one hand and Doppelganger in the other and smacks them together, but with Vergil and Dante.
Can you imagine the community blowing out if this was the final fight? It would have been fitting, too, them passing on the torch to Nero by coming at him straight on as a team one last time, forever solidifying their bods as brothers.
@@high440 Imagine how crazy it would be that when you kill one, the other takes his sword. If you kill Vergil first, Dante would take Yamato and go back to Darkslayer style from the 4. And if Dante dies first, Vergil would grab the dsd and use Mirage Edge moves.
It's kinda funny how they all can counter the other two. Dante: Royal Guard stops damage from melee or range and can counter at a distance or up close (Release) and has four melee weapons with unique properties Vergil: Best swordsman out of the three as he's very difficult to parry with just a sword and is the fastest/most mobile with teleportation, plus summon swords can be launched while swinging Yamato Nero: Devil Bringer/Buster can't be Royal Guarded (as far as I'm aware) and Breakers can counter Vergil (Helter Skelter breaks guards and Rawhide/Gerbera helps parry and/or dodge)
Ah shiet, now we definitely need motivation for this, imagine trying to avoid both judgement(Sin DT Dante) and judgment nut:end(Sin DT Vergil) at the same time. *_*
This would be a better ending, the 2 brothers and Sparda's grandson fighting each other to see who wins. Dante wants revenge for the "bitch slap" and can fight back at Vergil. Nero would want to show that he is not just a dead weight and would try to defeat the two brothers, and Vergil would want to defeat his brother and see how powerful his son is. This chaotic battle would have 3 endings. The first would be Nero winning (rank S xD), the second Dante winning and the third Vergil winning. If Nero or Dante win, they would show you the same as in the base ending of DMC 5, only changing this part, but if Vergil wins we would have an alternate ending where he escapes, leaves the Yamato and Dante and Nero would have to go to hell instead Dante and Vergil.
Id like to think there'd be some story to this, like Vergil knew about Nero's motivation (hah): Kyrie. He threatens to kill her, Nero gets PISSED, tries to kill Vergil, Dante butts in, and Nero decides if HE gets in the way, so be it, just another body
Not true First of all,Virgil knows the trauma of losing a loved one and wouldn't want his son to go through it. Even so if he did say that, Dante would not team up with virgil on doing that. AND Nero had lost his family before He wouldnt want to kill another family member Thats why he fought virgil Not to kill him To prove his existence
Imagine a mod were we choose one character and then fight the remaining three in a simultaneous 3 on one, I'd keep picking V just to make sure it doesn't turn into a 6 on one
This is how I picture the fight would've happened if Dante wasn't so lazy to get up, now if only Dante also had his doppelganger since his is based on shadow, while Vergil's was most likely acquired from ripping Nero's arm off along with the Yamato XD
@@kneegrow6198 No, in your opinion it is. To me the literal reason I hated Subhuman was because it sounded like DmC's music to me. It's almost as if different people have different tastes. Also, I do hope you are aware of the irony in you saying "whatever" because I won't change my mind, even though you also have absolutely zero intention of changing yours. Best of luck to you.
