I ran a route that passes through the northern foot of Japan's famous mountain, Mt. Ontake.
Mt. Ontake is a volcano with an altitude of 3067m located straddling Nagano and Gifu prefectures. It is the second highest independent peak in Japan after Mt. Fuji.
It has been known since ancient times as a mountain that is the object of mountain worship. Once thought to be an extinct volcano, it suddenly erupted in 1979, triggering a redefinition of volcanoes in Japan. It erupted again in 2014, causing a disaster in which 58 climbers near the summit died.

国道３６１高遠～木曽編では、遠くの木々がくっきりと見えています。一方この編では、遠くの木々が霞んで見えているものの近付くごとにくっきりと見えてきます。枝が細いためにこうなるのか、不思議だなあと感じました。毎度、楽しく見させて頂いております。

岐阜県の方はあまりドライブに行ったことが無いので知らない所が多いですが、機会があったら行ってみたいですね。前半は広い道路で御嶽山の絶景が楽しめる所もありますが、435号の途中から長い狭隘区間が続いていて、ずっと快走路というわけにはいかないのですね。

@@tereziakarman6164 The Gopro cameras were no longer usable in driving from the GOPRO9 onwards because of the stabilization which no longer followed the curves in the turns. Something else was needed and he found the only camera that was as good as the old Gopros for the image.
