Finally another Synth V cover after a bit of a break! It was really exciting to get into using an English voicebank, but also a lot trickier in many ways... I'm so glad I took a linguistics course on phonetics+phonology this year cause that knowledge came in REALLY handy for phoneme editing. I only recently started listening to Mitski but I've had this song stuck in my head for the past week and I think Eleanor suits it really well!
(also, if you're one of 10 people who saw this the first time, I reuploaded this since I changed something in the mix that was bothering me)

Heck yeah, this is so good!! Gotta say, your attention to detail is impeccable. Don't think I didn't notice that you took great pains to distinguish between the slurred d in 'nobody' and the hard one in 'no body' (a distinction Mitski makes in the song)!! I love this!!

I'm glad someone noticed! That's part of the reason I chose Synth V Basic over Studio, since her newer voicebank doesn't allow you to make that distinction and will automatically default to the softer, tapped 'd'.

That look like the old Synth V Editor, her voice sound so clear but the accent is bothering me a bit, she's kind of nasal or something ? I don't know haha, still really good work

I'm using the 1st gen Synth V editor! I like Synth V Studio but I find it less intuitive to work with and I don't like how the breathiness/tension parameters sound in Studio. And yeah I honestly kinda agree with your thoughts on her accent -- her vowels are more nasal than I would ideally like but unfortunately there's not much I can do about that... I changed the gender parameter slightly to help reduce that but it mostly comes down to how her voicebank was recorded.

@arinetic I understand what you mean with the old and new editor but I think she sound less nasal in the new one, maybe that's about the lite version I don't know... The old editor I got is messed up I have one as a program and another one as an executable file and I don't know where the voicebank go when I install them, but I'm just messing with synth v I'm not doing anything serious I don't know how to tune or mix haha, it take so much time I'm too lazy for that 😂 so I don't mind the new one and I never figured out how to switch between tracks on the old one
