i especially admire her mother for her love of the motherland. without her mother's love and guardians, she would be representing USA today. after all, her father is an american. so we have to give her father a two thumbs up also . love from canada.
I think it was a smart move for her to go to the Chinese team. I don't think I've ever heard of a famous Chinese skiier, but there are many in America. Her chances of being #1 are way better there. She is putting China on the map for skiing.

Her father abadoned her mother when she was young leaving them for another woman. Havent you noticed Eileen never mentioned her father in interviews and she said the two most inspiring people are her mom and her grandmother, also Eileen bears her mothers last name Gu, not her fathers. So her father has nothing to do with how Eileens has been raised, and not surprising she got more affinity with her chinese heritage.
