釜石市唐丹町の「釜石さくら祭り」は、300年以上の歴史を誇る伝統行事です。
宵宮祭では、神楽や伝統芸能が奉納され、町内の複数の神社の神輿が常龍山に集まり、神々を迎えます。翌日には、御霊代を乗せた御神輿が町を巡行し、江戸時代の大名行列を再現した行列が町内を練り歩きます。道中では、町の各所で多くの人々が行列を見守り、祭りを共に楽しみます。

The Kamaishi Sakura Festival in Toni Town, Kamaishi City, is a traditional event with over 300 years of history.
During the Yoinomiya-sai (Evening Festival), traditional Kagura dances and performing arts are dedicated, and mikoshis (portable shrines) from multiple shrines in the town gather at Joryuzan to welcome the gods. The following day, the mikoshi carrying the sacred spirit parades through the town. The procession, reminiscent of an Edo-period feudal lord's procession, makes its way through various parts of the town, watched by many residents who join in the festivities.
