@@JohnGavor29 That and the purposeful anti-climax. You've just spent x amount of hours trying your hardest to kill him, forgetting in the heat of the moment how much of a horrible person you've been. So in that sudden calm, all those feelings come rushing back. It's genius.

Sans’ Status in Undertale : - Hardest Boss Fight - One of the few who knew about RESET - Hardest First Attack - Saddest Death - Favorable Character - The only monster with 1 Attack & 1 Defense
I love how, after going through the trouble of killing Sans and thinking everything's over, this game just decides to kick you under the ribs with that Papyrus comment.
After pressing that last attack input everyone was expecting the suffering to end just to be stabbed in the guts. They all grew to love the characters so much and seeing Sans die in such a way is way too hard to take lightly.
Jokes of Flare's genocidal and mass destructive tendencies aside, dropping $500 on merch whilst running through the game several times over for fun shows how badly she fell in love with this game. Everyone watching this fell into the VTuber rabbit hole, it's always fun to watch them fall into a different one.
I love that throughout the whole game Sans is this lovable dunkle that we all grow attached to, but in the G-route we start to get angry at him for his “unfair” fight. The player falls right in line with Frisk/Chara’s script, and gets lost in their determination to beat him. But once we do we realize our mistake, we just killed the best friend we ever had. He was with us every step of the way, and we repaid him with a slash through the ribs…
I do think it's really interesting how everyone wants to kill sans, until they do. Then they regret ever wanting that, but keep moving forward. Then chara really hits you with the "no one made you do anything. Your the one who did this and now you have to take responsibility" you know this was good when undertale first came out and people tried to push the blame to chara, who is meant to be the player.
It’s interesting, isn’t it? That we can become so attached to a fictional character, to the point of crying when seeing them die, and yet, despite that, it still doesn’t stop us from starting and finishing a Route like this, truly fascinating.
*_kanata literally try to kill sans with 341 tries_* Also kanata: _No, sans are you going to die? No please”_ _Sans is really the best __-skeleton-__ girl_
When I was first played this game, I was careless but the more I play it the more I understand that, I'm not just playing a game, I'm playing with their feelings, emotions, and their future. And that's both sad and amazing.
She didn't beat him ultil now, and I don't know if she will ever beat sans, not only for giving up or not, but because there are much games and stuff to do now and probably she doesn't want to be stuck on Sans
Harsh start ! That first girl brings more feels than Sans's death itself. Its like watching a baby-girl discovering death for the first time as she understands her dog or pet-rabbit is dying in her arms.
I love how some feel upset and sad by genocide and are doing it for the full playthrough, and then some are on the grind. XD Toby did a damn good job, and these reactions show that well.
I remember first beating Sans. I remained silent through the whole final part of his fight. The fact i was only a flick away from death, and i was so scared of having to do the whole fight again. And when he died, i let out the biggest sigh ever, i was relieved but i didn't feel like i accomplished anything
This is coming from someone who doesn't know any of these people, so there's no bias. Shiranui's reaction hit me the hardest. Not only her commentary, but the complete change of tone and sighing felt very real. The model change is a very nice touch as well. I know people say that she then proceeded to do more genocide runs later, but that doesn't take from the impact this run had. Lots of people said that Subaru's reaction was the hardest, but to me the fact that she kept doing her "Vtuber voice" throughout the sequence took a few points from me. I tried watching her part several times to see if my opinion changes, but it always felt like a child who is crying because they broke their toy or something. The smiling model didn't help either.
@@SkippertheBart that he dodges? Yeah, because sans isn't a counter measure to the human, it's a counter measure to the player -Bullet Hell game, but his is a platformer -Dodges -Removal of Invincibility frames -Attacking in menus So yeah he cheats a lot, because he's fighting the player and to do that, he has to. Really good idea for a character
Edit: Senchou’s chat stopped. They are nice. They wanted to give Senchou her alone time with sans in his final moments so that she can grief once it’s over with. They may be perverts but they have standards. --- Edit 2: Even a psychopath Suisei has standards and heart of gold. That is Suisei for you. --- When you think about it, in an alternate interpretative kind of way, when sans walks off the screen... You would wonder whether he did that so Frisk will not see sans fade away out of concern. Like deep down sans know that Frisk is not responsible and also knows that Frisk is still in there somewhere. And Chara said we have no control? Well, joke is on Chara. We can do what I dub as the “Ultimate Miracle Reset”. The only way Frisk can truly return is deleting certain file(s) which is something that can be only be done by “going offscreen” on our side. Brilliant if not unintentional symbolism, Toby Fox. And I just realized that we have another Fox playing a Fox’s game.
