William Bradd it depends how much you study the language a great example of this is school where when I could say that I've done Japanese for 4 years but in reality, I've only done two 90 minute classes every week. The most I learnt from classes were basic to intermediate sentences. If you learn the language with utmost effort you'd be somewhat decent at a foreign language in a couple of years but it takes determination. Though english is one of the easier languages to learn especially when most of their katakana words come from english (classes help ofc with the alphabet but you will see english words all over signs etc for foreigners), which is why most vtubers are able to understand it even slightly

The "I don´t understand why they call me quacker or quack quack" must be an cultural diference with the onomatopoeias, while in english a duck says "quack quack" in japanese is がーがー (ga-ga-), so that could explain why subaru is confused with all the "quack quack" comments. *plays "the more you know" gingle*
