I like how that one judge, said to Yibo that he doesn’t treat himself as an idol, he was really a ‘dancer’. One sdc dancer contestant also said the same on the previous ep. I’m glad Yibo is enjoying and being able to do what his passionate the most! Anyways, I really admire how they are all humble, trash talking ain’t really trash!😂

We can see how good hearted is Wallace, I wanted them to win, but when they lost twice it was so heartbroken. I can clearly see how much Wallace cherry his teammates, and how hard was for him. It was too cruel. I am happy they could get at least one back.

The scores severely increased during the rounds where Lay/Jackson participated.....both performances deserved better imo...idk if it has to do with the popularity of the captains....I couldn't even choose between tho two during their performances but if I was a public audience I'd probably vote for my idols if that is what happened.

Result for first session Yibo Wangzha vs Wawa Cool team. It's so cruel, this is street dance fight. The 2 team have different style Bboy/hiphop and Jazz/locking, technically they can't be compared, bboy should versus bboy, jazz should versus jazz, so it's only can be compared by the Routine quality, and again the judges preference is mattered. It was so hard for Captain Zhong, losing 4 players is too hurt, i was crying too. Damn.. I hate eliminatiom but this is what competition is.

Wang YiBo’s team is just brimming with talent and insane ideas for an explosive and memorable performance. Most importantly as a captain he was able to keep up with the level of mastery of the rest of the crew, that takes talent and a lot of effort. MIND BLOWING performance!

Another thing- Did you notice that when it came to the first battle there wasn't much of a difference, but when it came to Jackson and Lay battle the difference was so huge, when Lay was in, they had an advantage, when Jackson was in, they took it- WHY? That tells you what STRONG presence they have on the stage...if they weren't in it- there wouldn't be much of a difference!

Whoa that's a bit too much don't ya think? No hate, I absolutely love this show and I think the dancers are all very diverse and perfect for a street dance show but Step Up was on another level. In fact, funnily enough, this episode is what reaffirmed how flawlessly the actors played their part when I saw just how tough it was for them to perform on the Water stage.

I'm disappointed on how the audiences do their vote on Lay/Jackson battle, both deserve a good score yet you can see how bias they are, Battle voting shouldn't be done just because you're a fan of someome you must be fair and square, Winner deserve the praise but the gap? that doesn't make sense at all.

The audiences voted for "Lay" and "Jackson", not their team and that was so biased (and disrespectful honestly), hopefully, there were special 101 Judges from eps later, (which still some of them were biased too).

53:30 at this point, dude's just biased. Everyone knows Yibo's team in this round was 10 times ahead of Wallace's team. I'm surprised it was a 3 point difference given how Yibo literally smashed the dance floor.

maybe because wallace team did a GREAT job with the choreo, and they mixed so many genres in that routine, waacking, locking, hip hop, and many more. meanwhile yibo's team was good yeah but personally i feel like wallace team won with their creativity and neat execution.

It's as if he's trying to prove a point that the team that wins is not always the best one, it has a lot of flaws blah blah blah. He clearly does not know what a Water Dance should look like if he thinks Yibo's Team didn't hit the mark spot on.

I think it's doubly interesting in episodes where the captains dance. As a person, each captain has his own distinct personality and style. When they dance, their dancing personalities seem different. Also, it's just great to see such great dancing and the level of performance and musicality that they bring to the stage. * Lay seems such a sweet person offstage. When he's dancing, he lets out aggression and power. * Wallace seems so kind and gentle and warm. When he's dancing, he becomes very cool. * Jackson seems such a decent, honest and gracious person. When he's dancing, he becomes much more suave, and has a great comedic side. * Yibo doesn't like to speak unless he really has something to say, and seems young and sensitive. When he's dancing, his confidence seems to explode. I particularly love Jackson and Yibo's beautiful lines and cleanness and precision.

In the second match of Wally Cool vs Rockets, I definitely liked Team Rocket’s routine better. Team Wally Cool was very uniform and interesting but Team Rocket had fierce and explosive movements. The water certainly helped them.

brooo 72 to 29 lol like did the audience have not had jackson's towel or what? I'm so disappointed like bro it was the best performance from jackson's team since the first day. I used to think jackson used to go easy but after i saw this battle i was like woah i was thinking so wrong he and his team can go all hard and rip the stage but at the end what the vote is like 72 to 29 if there was a small gap i could have understood it like 72 to 29? woahhhhh bruuhh it's so frustrating

Yeah definitely. This is why the audience shouldn't judge for battles. They'll obviously go for their idol. Not saying that Lay didn't deserve it, he did, but the difference was too much for it to be legit.

for the 2 rounds I would say their judgement were idol centered. 1 round Yixing was present (72 to 29) 2 round Jackson entered (73 to 28) so overall the competition between the 2 are merely for show and gives no reliable result.

Only a small portion of the votes is done by the audience (randomly selected when they enter the venue). The rest is done by professional dancers or media. Many explained in their vlogs/blogs later that the lotus formation at the end of Lay's round was too much of an ingenious kill-off move (it also compliments the storyline of their battle), while a lot of the stuff seen on Jackson's 1st team was regular stuff you would see in swag genre. Also, that the krumping was extremely powerful to see live (it lost a lot of power through the camera).

Come on, there was no way team Wallace would have beat Team Yibo. I would have maybe given them the first round, but the second goes hands down Yibo's team, especially with him dancing. Very entertaining. No one can be that presence and magnetism that he has when he is on stage. Even saying this though, I really did love Wallace Team's second dance as well. Very in sync and entertaining as well.

Dancers often make fun of idols. Like they can’t really dance, etc etc. Then you see Wang Yibo, Lay Zhang and Jackson Wang and you can’t help to think “Man, Korea training is something else”. Kudos to them for learning and even going beyond 👏🏽👏🏽 My favorite is Yibo by the way. His stage presence and his sensibility are beyond words for each performance. He is THE “Force tranquille”
