@@haaria83this video isn't crazy it's a basic typical cheese strat that never works for 99% of people. Crazy was original ff7 weapon strats, this is 200x more difficult.
Opener is the exact same each round: Arcane Ward Cloud, ATB Boost Cloud, Cast Level 3 w/ Cloud, ATB Boost Aerith, Cast Level 3 w/ Aerith; from there you cycle through Synergy Skills to boost ATB for the characters not actively casting. Rinse and repeat. A genius strategy and incredibly simplistic. But clearly takes a ton of practice to execute. Cloud is using Swiftcast attached to Lightning for sure, this allows him to cast first, so that he can immediately Synergize with Tifa while Aerith is still casting her Level 3 spells. Tifa falls back to the Ward to cast her Level 3, Cloud Synergizes with Aerith to build her ATB, rinse and repeat. As far as I can tell, Cloud doesn't ever utilize Arcane Ward outside of the opener, with the only exception being when Aerith cast it on Cloud a second time to finish off Odin/Alexander (2:00). As for what the entire load out is, it'll take me a bit, but I could figure it out with about 90% accuracy. But this really is poetry in motion, bravo to you sir for taking a simple approach, mastering it and applying it beautifully!
@@xRoycex for cloud, absolutely. You can see that when he goes to the quick menu that both Cloud and Aerith have Magnify attached to Lightning and Wind respectively. I would guess that they have Magic Focus also attached to them as well. But it’s possible that Aerith has both Magic Focuses on her. One on Fire/Ice and another on Wind/Lightning. Because she’s the one casting Firaga primarily against Gilgamesh and Sephiroth in rounds 4-5. Where Cloud is still using Lightning and Tifa is using Blizzaga.
Cloud has Rune Blade x Fury Ring; Lightning x Magnify/Swiftcast/Mp Absorb/Magic Focus First Strike, ATB Stagger, Skill Master (probably) Aerith has Plumose Rod x Chocoking Cape; Wind x Magnify/Magic Focus/Mp Absorb First Strike, ATB Stagger, ATB Assist (might be on Cloud) Tifa has Crystal Gloves (atb opening giveaway) accessory may be enhanced camaderie earrings (power cleave dmg) Enemy-Skill Materia for Stat Boost, Ice x Magic Efficiency, Magnify x Wind, probably Synergy Support I accidentally deleted the wrong comment and don't feel like retyping but I wonder how accurate @Valkyrie thinks this is lol. Magic Up is either on Cloud or Aerith; assuming Tifa is maximizing her magic attack instead of reg then I would have added atk->magic materia but other than that I'm not sure (other than none of them having hp & mp ups). I think all of them have the fire x elemental materia equipped in the armor slot with Aerith having Fire/Ice. She also has Lightning materia but it isn't paired with Wind. Could be wrong about the dual materia pairings as I haven't used them as shortcuts in the past.
I came to the same conclusion. Obviously Cloud and Aerith are both using First Strike. But Aerith has to be using Chocoking Cape to start off with two full ATBs. Where Cloud has about 1.33 Bars filled. Tifa has about a half a bar which reflects what you mentioned about the Crystal Gloves. 99% of the damage is from Magic. So it’s a strong argument that the obvious weapons are the ones that give Cloud and Tifa the highest Magic stat. Again, similar to what you’ve deduced. Assuming everyone had an HP and MP Plus. Cloud obviously has ATB Stagger, reflected in how his ATB reacts to placing Gilgamesh into stagger (2:44). I assume Aerith has ATB Assist, because she almost always double casts with Ward for an each round consistently, which feeds into everyone’s ATB replenishment. But the majority of ATB is coming from Synergy Skills. I haven’t looked that closely to see if anyone is using Gengi Gloves (breaks 9,999 limit). But Aerith clearly has Chocoking as previously stated.
You and pretty much everybody else playing Rebirth. I think it’s because we all focus on unlocking stat boosts and synergy abilities in the folio’s, to the point where synergy skills get forgotten.
Great job. Also: This is even faster than the Yuffie Brumal build (though obviously much harder to execute) but the most important thing to me is: It can win without perfect blocks, which is awesome. If they nerf Yuffie before the PC release my old-man reaction times won't make finishing this impossible. edit: Apparently there is now a Brumal build that beats this by 1 second, but it uses the Gotterdammerung, so I would argue this one is still far more impressive.
@@evilborn1992 Less tactical time is neat, but I am more interested in the fact that a non-Brumal build is able to challenge the record holders. Brumal builds are pretty braindead compared to this one (didn't stop me from giving up and using Brumal to get my first clear though).
@@dzonatangavert1408 I agree, it really does. It's not just the build, but the execution of it. If you copied this build but didn't use the synergy skills, it wouldn't work nearly as well.
I can't do this; the first thing the enemies do EVERY GORRAM Time is charge the characters, knocking them into the air, back against the wall, stun them, or literally drag them around the battlefield by simply running/flying against their bodies. My characters are permanently stunned, tossed, bouncing, pinned, or simply pulled outside the Aura. It's nice that they stayed still for this video, but I'm not having that luck. I can get to Sephiroth normally, but I can't even pass the first fight using this method...I think the game knows what I'm trying and just makes sure my characters never stop moving.
Update for crummy players like me: The smallest things matter, such as... Making sure you switch to Aerith fully at the start, and not just use the shoulder buttons to access her menu while still "controlling" Cloud. If you do the latter, Aerith will dodge toward Cloud before she drops her Aura, or even teleports her next to the targeted enemy. Make sure you see the Aura under Cloud or he will prematurely release his bolt for only a single toss. Synergy skills will teleport the ally to the user, but if they get bumped or are too close to 'port but too far to properly synergize, you'll get a crummy solo attack. I can typically get to Odixander now, but Odin still likes to punt with his ranged spear or charge attacks.
Guys please someone tell me where did he found the easy mode for this challenge I searched every where my account is bugged is says only available in hard mode 😭
With cloud holding a Fury Ring, it looks like he’s the DPS, so he likely has Magic Focus x2, Magnify and MP Absorb all linked to Lighting along with ATB Stagger, First Stike and Magic Up. While using Power Cleave with Tifa while she uses ATB assist and a Speed Up materia to charge his ATB farther with a Speed Demon Keychain. Aerith being support by using the appropriate wards and fulfilling a backup DPS role using Fire linked with MP Absorb and Magnify and using the other First Strike and ATB Stagger materias with a chocobo cape on top for a full meter on startup. Both Cloud and Tifa hold ATB Boost to make up for the lack of chocobo capes for full meters.
This is certainly very skillful play. I cannot copy this because the attack pattern have changed with the latest update and cannot output the same amount of magic damage, even with weapon level 9.
Shame on me. I’ve been struggling with this nightmare for a week now and the best thing i did is reaching Sephiroth and he beat me every time 🥲 very amazing play 👍🏻
It took over 4 hours to finish this fight. Then I come to RU-vid thinking there will be someone doing this easily. And I see your video. Impressive. You got some skills.
Any chance someone can give me a rundown of what the overall strategy is here? I see the materia build is posted but the video is tough to follow considering how quickly the inputs are made.
Basically, you need to "master" the art of switching to Aerith and casting her Arcane Ward BEFORE the computer/ai has her attacking with her staff as the slightest delay will make or break the run. 1. Cast Arcane Ward on Cloud 2. ATB Boost x Thundaga w/ Cloud 3. ATB Boost x Aeroga w/ Aerith 4. Power Cleave for 2 ATB Bars (For Cloud AND Tifa) 5. Thundaga with Cloud; Aeroga (or Blizzaga for Round 1) with Tifa 6. Rest Just Depends on The Opponent
So he's using the Synergy Skill to almost instantly refill Cloud and Whatever Companion's ATB Gauge and Attacks with Another Aga Spell. Delay in the beginning with Aerith will throw off the run. Unfilled ATB Gauges (happens sometimes) throw off the run. I've been able to consistently reach Odin & Alexander so I've mainly been using this video for reference
ok this dont even make since how are they dying that fast with 2-3 casts ? i mean i saw the other guys doing it for like 5-10 mins but this is insane !!! thank you and advance and well played
I just subscribed….. This was insane. I’ve been fighting this for 5 days and I can mimic what you did in the first 3 rounds. Usually with no problems, but then I’ll get completely screwed with Gilgamesh or Sephiroth.
I'm in shock... how did you keep your characters lined up like that? Am i messing something? most of the time, my characters run off fighting monsters...
Using synergy skills automatically brings the linking character right to your side even if it has to teleport them across the battlefield. If you think about it, then this is a clever way to have your character dodge and get out of harms way.
about 170 hours into this game, Watched the video like 6 times, still no Idea what the hell is happening, Sephiroth just keeps kicking my ass no matter what build or strat I try, lossing hope for this platinum very quickly :(
Well kudos to you for making it to Sephiroth LOL I think the best advice for Sephiroth is to learn how to perfectly block his shadowy chains; most strategies are a combination of prayers and inconsistent cheesing (which is why I have no patience for the yuffie strat), but I feel your pain!
@@SILVER19451945 its pure RNG, I finally did it but that time, sephiroth just didnt shadow chained me at the start, he just attacked me so randomly, it was just luck I guess and the strat just worked perfectly, I hate this fight...
Just use the optinoob method I didn’t first try with ease in 6 minutes with areith yuffi and bareat simple and easy to do just keep spamming until u beat this challenge
I like how the AI just lets you achieve this, mine starts running around, phoenix begins pushing me away from the ward, kujata starts disrupting and tossing me away with its horns, jumping to the point where i cant get the loop going. All after 2 seconds of the battle starting. Everyones battle is different. Let me borrow your AI please 🙏 It worked for you but it wont work for everybody. Good vid tho mad props!
@@oOoValkyrieoOo Though I would love your Gilgamesh AI lol, I tried this mission 30+ times and on every single one he opened up instantly with a crazy AOE move that wrecked my team. I wish mine would just start running at me like yours XD This quest has been driving me crazy for a week.
I liked this message a few weeks ago, but upon my recent discovery, you just have to be that accurate with your execution. Like it's so insane to me because if you're even a hair off when the battle starts, you won't be able to execute Aerith's Arcane Ward immediately. She's going to be attacking with her staff or spinning around in circles, delaying the battle. Once the battle is delayed, the opponent has just enough wiggle room to launch their attacks & ruin the run. I wish I was lying but I'm telling you it's soooooo fickle but true. This is someone who has tried different strats and has nearly cleared the first 3-4 battles with ease through the Tifa Divekick Combo & Yuffie methods. At least I can take these builds and destroy something else in-game with the concept, but the other guides are just typical c-team bs
I tried your way but like impossible, the enemy always thwarthed my formation and one of the team dead.... Even i have tried firework blade synergy on phoenix, but its not dead in just one time synergy attack like the one you showed in your video 😅😅 Please something was wrong or my build is wrong
He is using synergy skills alot, but that speed on sephiroth start fight, after arcane ward, ATB > Thundaga on cloud then shortcut for Aerith and same ATB > Firaga in less than a second, remarkable! no matter what strategy one is using, that's some skill
It just goes to show you that everyone complaining about the game being too hard isn’t fully utilizing their materia. Watching these videos have really opened up my eyes on what is possible in this game.
@@Dis2goodit’s still crazy difficult. It’s like you have to play a certain way or you can’t do it. Like one can‘t figure out their own path and try stuff out because it will only lead to failure.
@@Dis2good If I can't even activate a single ATB skill before both Bahamut and Titan start pummeling my characters you really don't feel like 'experimenting'.
If yall try to ask for his build, trust me this video ain't for you to platinum it, I try it myself and I mess up terrible 💀 best to find the help elsewhere
It definitely takes practice to execute! If I wasn't stubborn I would have cleared it sooooo much earlier. I tried copying this vid without maxing out my materia slots but now I'm able to execute the first match flawlessly, only "struggle" round 3 (practice making perfect), and I can take this concept and apply it toward so many different other "challenging" battles in the game. So I disagree, but to each their own~
I think that is almost imposible. I can even read what he is doing with that huge damage... I did it the old way, and three first matches are very easy, Gilgamesh takes practice and Sephirot too
I don't think people understand that, while yes, this is a "Non-GDam" run, the player is at Level 9 on all party members. That makes a HUGE difference.
Dude this is awesome! Well done! I've tried doing the brumal build but nothing ever lines up for me and don't get far. I see eveyone thank you for your build, but I cant see it in any of the comments. Help a brother out?
Absolutely amazing, i believe I already know your load out because I’m running something similar, however your flow is bar none. I’ve messed this strategy up a few times. Definitely takes practice. You have spells equipped to quick shortcuts and that’s really smart. Sephiroth is an absolute demon and he didn’t even know wtf was happening. Good sh*t!!
