Back in 99 when I heard this, saw the dead White SeeDs, I thought damn this is a sad future but seeing the castle looming in the background I thought but I still got a job to do. Now when I hear this. I jusr think man where did the time go. 25 years flew by quick. This track hits harder with the passing of time.
Yes, it's amazing how quickly time flies. I've been out of school for 20 years now and I met my first love 20 years ago in 2004 and it feels like just a few months have passed instead of 20 years and the worst and the best things in life happen the fastest while annoying things like working. Hospitalization and prison sentence pass more slowly
I love Blue Fields, but it would've been interesting if this was the overworld theme for Disc 4 after time compression. This track is awesome though, along with how haunting and mystical it is. Appreciate the extension
Damn, this track is so well composed ! I've always felt like the "space duck" sound at the begining would represent the future, the "classical" harp, the past and the ghosty voices, the void of time compressing on itself... It's brilliant ! My favorite FFVIII track because of all this, plus it's an incredible music to listen to. The fact that you could only hear it once, at the time, made it so much more precious, in my little boy's head (and dare I say heart)! Love it, since 1998 !
