Old Man Hassan: "Oh Black Mirror of the Aztecs, Lord of the Near and Nigh, Night Wind, Enemy of Both Sides. Where hath thou conflicts lead? A kingdom of dust and ash as far as thine eyes can see. Thy followers, dead by thine hand. Thy land, annihilated beyond repair. Thy land once peaceful and kind lain to death by thy whims alone, a king who killed thy own kingdoms and who would lay waste to the world given the chance. Fool. Thou art not worthy of the title "Grand Assassin" of the seven Grand protectors of humanity. Bare thy neck. I shalt lay thine head and crown low so I may reclaim what is mine."
Actually, according to Material dialouge, Hassan's opinion of Tez is this: _"O Smoking Mirror. Killing for the sake of killing. Existing to die. If that is thine faith, I am unable to dispute it."_
@@thomaschitham3487 True, but I honestly think he'd have an issue with awakening ORT to destroy the planet and kill the humanity he's supposed to protect.
@@GentlemanAeon777 True, but at the same time he helped Chaldea by turning the Underworld Borders into special summoning grounds (which made the summoning of the army of Servants to fight agaisnt ORT possible) and by giving Camazots Ristuka's Command Spells (which led to the 3 of the 4 summoned Servants turning into more powerful Alters and Watchers of the Underworld, which allowed Beni Enma to use Azrael on ORT giving him the Concept of Death). He also resurrected Ritsuka. He even helped the Deinos via the Dinosaur King becoming their leader, who later ended up inspiring the Deinos to fight ORT; and by bringing in knowledge of Proper Human History's mythology, which led to the Deinos deifing the Sun of Mictlan, which gave birth to Kukulkan (who came in clutch in the final batle agaisnt ORT). Not the mention he puts a lot of effort into his work, a quality very important for an assassin. He maybe an asshole and a cruel god, but there is a reason Tezcatlipoca is the only one qualified enough to serve as a stand in for Gramps.
The long awaited battle ever since the release of the old man's character material like 5 years ago. Im sure he will enjoy adding the head of a god of the afterlife to his collection.
Gramps: As such everyone i will now be lay down mine title As Grand Assasin thus i shall now chosen my new candidate Tezcatlipoca. Tez: What that is so much work i don't wanna. Gramps: Mashallah this little criten i swear!! Tez: Wait old man DROP THE BELT DROP THE BELT!!
This makes it feel like Gramps is dog walking tez so he can force his job on him. You gotta remember that Gramps is the only true assasin who qualifies as Grand and tez had to mimic him to become one. It has been stated that if Gramps ever decided to be a Grand again, Alaya would kick out whoever was taking Gramps's place and give Gramps the job again. Though judging by tezs voicelines, he's a little annoyed that Gramps forced the job on him.
How fortunate that I have a fully built Avenger Nobu just for this fight also Tezcabro sounds like Ric Flair everytime he gets hit by an NP, it's funny
Acording to tez, he was choosen as the grand assassin because of his connection to the mountain (he was called "the heart of mountain") Basically, the only one who is worthy enough of the title is king hassan (old man of the montain), but when he step down, tez was choosen since he was close enough to be on par with king hassan (and his connection to the mountain, just like king hassan). He is a divine spirit of highest caliber (the leader of the aztec gods back in the day) so i guess it make sense that he was the closest thing they can find to be king hassan's succsessor....
grand archer would be successful up til the final gauge: if tez is not downed by offensive NPs, tez blows up everyone and daybit permastuns your guys, making you restart the battle to try again.
