This is a different version of the usual story where 2FL steals FL’ identity as ML’s savior so ML only believes 2FL and FL is mistreated and used as medicine for 2FL. In this version 2FL is actually the wife and not concubine - and ML is a City Lord (not Prince/Emperor) with a history with FL, making them sworn enemies. Despite a big difference in characters and backstory, it’s the standard story of threatening, abuse and love/hate relationship. Beware the ending. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! ML is only a child when his family is destroyed and he sees his mother being defiled while he as the only one survives by hiding. This creates a strong desire for revenge which he gets a chance for 10 years later when he has become a strong City Lord. Kind of repeating history, a young girl is the only survivor. He is persuaded into sparing her life but throws her into the Bloody Tower, a place considered Hell on Earth where only the strong survive. About 13 years later, the girl has become a beautiful young woman (FL). ML one day saves FL from being raped by men in the Tower and tells her to toughen up in order to survive - and gives her a knife. She swears to kill ML one day but uses the knife to fight back against the men in the tower, even makes an alliance with another young man in and together they manage to survive until being able to leave the tower to complete a mission. The mission being to help the City Lord (ML) to return safely after his suppression of a horde of bandits. But when they meet, he has been drugged with an aphrodisiac and doesn’t recognize her so he promises to marry her before the two sworn enemies end up having sex. Afterwards she spares his life once for saving her back then - and leaves. Another woman (2FL) who has had her eyes on him takes her place, so he mistakenly believes that she is his savior - much to his dismay. Next time FL and ML meet, she conceals what happened that night while he makes her his primary guard, starting her entanglement with this fierce, young City Lord - and looking for a chance to finally kill him. A task that proves to be harder than she imagined. Things get complicated when 2FL decides to target FL in fright of losing the man she will stop at nothing to get - and ML indulges her. Well, this has a sad, but somewhat fitting ending.
