Man you know, people always talk about FGO when it comes to great gacha story writing (which is true) but I hardly hear people talk about GFL and AK outside of their respective communities. Absolutely amazing writing in both games
well, tbh AK gives great plots, but the writing is pretty chinese style, so honestly isn't so great as sounds after being summarized 😊 😅 although, a great difference with GFL is that the status quo doesn't change after events, all remains the same outside main story, so... Lore: 20/10 world building: xD/10

after playing the 10th chapters you will find that the story rise up to another level, and two extra operations that expands the story which make it more impressive. I'm playing Chinese server btw
Know it's niche but one thing I really like about the game is the fact that society survived despite what is essentially the apocalypse happening. Something like The Eternal War series or Orwell's 1984, and the whole idea of nukes dropping and ending everything. You'd think that this is the end of an era and the end of the war, with unspeakable devastation and tragedy all around, only for a convoy of tanks to roll down the road toward the frontlines a short couple of days later. That horrid realization that this immeasurable amount of destruction is only the start of something worse to come, as the government and military simply continue their war despite the fact that they don't even have any society or home left to fight for. That ideas' always been really interesting, and I wish they'd have more of this in media. tl;dr stories where the government and military keep fighting despite nukes destroying everything are neat.

I feel like stories like that has a lot of potential to create something unique about humanity and a soldiers and commanders duty. How in the end, even after everything is destroyed, humanity still goes on fighting each other till none is left. Spitting out the remaining high tech modern weaponry and trained soldiers in the grinder in hopes of getting that upper hand.
It's incredible how mobile games like Girls Frontline, Azur Lane and FGO manage to be deeper and more entertaining than many so-called AAA games these days. I also support my fellow YTbers and request someone makes an OVA (less censored than anime) out of GF, the potential is off the charts.
The problem is that in order to go deeper into the story, you need strong characters to continue. That's whats holding back the story, the need for strong characters and pulls for mid and late games, and the time to cultivate them through grinding for hours on end.

@@florianh1703 I started playing the game a little time after Chapter 10 was released... so I know how it is. I could not finish 10.5 during the event. Good thing is, they are all available now to access whenever I want.
It is actually (bit late i know), but theres two. The one called "M4's road to healing" which is a comedy focusing on her recovering from the PTSD (presumably after chap 7.5 arctic warfare). The other is an official anime of the game where it follows the story of the mobile game, i recommend you play it at least to get an idea of the story and pacing before the anime, if you haven't
@@Rumyen There are talks that GFL will have an anime adaptation similar to azur lane, i do not know the details however there is a manga being written which follows the story of GFL with the commander being female.
I just hoped that if there's less censorship about the darkest themes comes out in GFL, it would bring the shine that why people play this games, not just for the girls, but to the plot itself. The Anime only covers the brightest sides, the fun, the happiest times and only glance or just not fully dove to its darkest corners. The itch of seeing why these dolls struggled, why they have created, and why did they had given emotions to emulate like a human being. These are no longer dolls or girls. These beings are scarred soldiers of war.
Why am I only discovering this now ? Seriously this is SICK dude, you just managed to make me have goosebumps and chills in the neck, the feelings in this are real, I've never seen something delivering what Girl's Frontline story is better than your GMV.

The music is perfect to the overall theme of GFL story, and it's works perfectly with the video. And it's make me feel very pumped for the rest of the story (EN server here) and a bit worried, since GFL story is certainly a lot more complex, dark and deep than... I don't know? All others Gatcha games? Still my dude, good work!

When i watched this the first time like a year ago i was hyped and amazed by it, now that catched up to all the story covered in this video I just cry, all these feels man 😢
you'll see more in the future, I'm in the Chinese server and I can tell you that things may get better and stories will get tougher in the upcoming updates

Imagine a high quality anime that takes place in GFLs timeline. If they do it right, it might be able to contend against Re Zero or other psychological animes.

friggin awesome but imo it would be better if when you display the lyrics in the video, you just have the keywords instead of the whole lines to the verse. i think that would capture the feeling and the atmosphere.
