Designated as a Japanese heritage site, Tomo-no-Ura in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a port town located in the center of the Seto Inland Sea, where many ships used to come and go. It's famous as a filming location for many movies and dramas, and it's also known as the place where Director Hayao Miyazaki stayed for several months to develop the concept for Studio Ghibli's masterpiece "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea."
