The team was founded in 2014 by Atsuhisa Matsumura, the representative of the "DD Group," which operates a chain of restaurants. The team was established as a way for Matsumura to give back to his hometown of Kochi Prefecture, and it has garnered significant attention at the Kochi Yosakoi Festival.
The 2024 theme, "YOSAKOI BE A HERO," carries a passionate message encouraging each individual to ignite the flame within and strive to become a hero in the real world. The choreography, inspired by a dragon dancing beautifully amid roaring flames, and the costumes, designed with a cyber-disco aesthetic, are key highlights. Particularly impressive is the moment when the dancers strike hero poses incorporating elements of the "Para Para" dance, showcasing a performance rich in entertainment that embraces the latest pop culture.
The team consists of 140 dancers, including employees of the DD Group, dancers from Kochi, and members of the dance group "TEMPURA KIDZ." With an average age of 18, the team is brimming with youthful energy. Music production was led by RAM RIDER, combining 80s Eurobeat with Yosakoi melodies to captivate the audience.

The Yosakoi Festival is a vibrant event held annually from August 9th to 12th in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture. Established in 1954, the festival began with the aim of revitalizing the local economy and boosting the spirits of its citizens.
During the festival, around 190 teams and 20,000 dancers participate, performing energetic dances while holding "naruko" (wooden clappers). Each team competes with unique costumes, music, and choreography, performing at 17 different stages and venues across Kochi City. On August 9th, a pre-festival event takes place, followed by a national competition and a post-festival event on August 12th, enveloping the entire city in a festive atmosphere.
Due to its popularity, the Yosakoi Festival has spread across Japan, with events like the "YOSAKOI Soran Festival" taking place in various regions. Moreover, it is celebrated internationally in countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, France, South Korea, and Taiwan, where a unique fusion of Japanese tradition and local culture is showcased.
