For my fellow English speakers. This is a video about useful defensive OS (option selects) in the game: 0:20 Use: The first OS is used to oki an opponent and deal with their Heat activation by shielding it. How: Press any quick grounded meaty and follow up with any normal +D, like meaty 2A > 2A+D or 2A > 2B+D etc... If the opponent block you will do your string, if the opponent heat the first attack will whiff and you eat the heat with shield. Example: Oki with 2A(meaty)>5B+D -> 1:09 2:38 Use: An OS to deal with a jumping opponent that will either empty jump throw or very deep jump attack/empty jump attack How: Press A+B (dash macro) then D (1 or 2 frames later) when your opponent land, if the opponent tries to throw, you will tech, if the opponent attack or does nothing, you will backdash. You can also do it with a move instead of back dash, press the move then A+D a frame later. Example: 3:38 with backdash, 3:50 with 3C (for its upper body invulnerability) 4:41 Use: Not an OS per say, but use the moon drive to have a bootleg reversal on get up How: Get up by pressing B+C (moon drive) then use a moon skill (direction + B+C) to force the clash and win it (depending on your moon skill, experiment with your character to find the right one) Example: 5:55 Counter play: You can jump cancel a clashing normal, so jump cancel shield immediately after the clash, since your opponent is in moon skill they cannot answer back with their shield (Shiki at 6:25 for the example) 7:10 Use: Deal with jump in pressure if they try to mix in jumping attack, empty jumps low or AD attack. How: Press 4 then A on timing with their jump. You stuff the empty jump, anti air the AD or you block the jumping attack. Example: 7:54 for empty or jump attack, 8:35 for jump attack or AD Attack. 8:58 Use: Take back your turn against an opponent who tries high hitting jumping attacks. How: Start at 4 then 1 (in his example Go1 goes back and forth between 4 and 1 like a fuzzy) and press A. You block if the attack was deep, and you duck avoid then follow up with A if the attack was too high. Example: 9:56, you can see that Go1 block the first attack (right height), but duck avoid the second (too high). If I missed anything comment below, I'll edit the message.
i'm trying to understand through context only, but it is very informative just from watching 1) normal+D option select is used against blood heat. if enemy does blood heat, D comes out. if enemy does not blood heat, normal comes out. 2) using dash macro to backstep while holding A will tech throws. holding C will do 3C
