No ! They are two different definition of Han language ! 1. Modern mandarin parallel with multi dialect groups ! 2 Modern mandarin parallel with multi sub language groups ! Both definitions show that modern mandarin is a separate language ! Teochew, Hokkien , Hainan, Taiwan language are dialect of Ho Lok language/ dialect group !
