I think a lot of people greatly misinterprets this character. No, she didn't kill herself. In the last episode, there's a brief part where she opens window curtains, says, "I hate this blue sky" and smiles. She doesn't hate herself. She hates the world that tells her she should hate herself. A cheery world that shoves things down the throat of her othered self (it's shown in the contrast of her dream where she's wearing all black and everything is colorful). The world that treated her like she should just go away, that treats her like she doesn't belong, and she's no longer taking the heat of it and now believes everything can shove it (in her dream everything was disappearing in zippers as a way of saying that they can stfu). She's wanting to paint the sky her own colors which is the ending of her dream and why she says what she's says in the last episode. She's unlocked her inner diva as a way to stop stepping on eggshells in the world. She's such an enigmatic character that even the main character misinterprets her dream. She just skips to the beat of her own drum and needed some encouragement in her discouraging world.

And because of her frustrations, she wanted an illusory world where she can freely say "fk you", and vent out her anger without being told that she's somehow breaking character (or have to face other more permanent consequences). Again, this is my own interpretation because of personal experiences. I have trouble dealing with negative emotions too, and the fact that I'm (most of the time) unable to vent frustrates me even more. Then, I'm left angry at everything around me, including myself. If I had an illusion where anything was possible without consequences, I'd go ham too! Basically, I think of this girl's world like one giant wreck room.

This episode was full of metaphors... I think she suffers from a pathological anxiety, she struggles a lot to define herself but she has not a clear goal for herself, her life is full of contradictions. Just when she is thinking "I hate rumors, I hate men", she listens to a rumor by two men, and likes it. Her wish starts by she donning a black dress, her funeral gown. She understands this, everything is evident now. Her colored smile sets up an uncanny valley to hint the calamity that is about to happen. She arrives to this colorful world and starts marching full of confidence: Here, she can discern everything superfluous, and has the power to clean it. When everything is clear, in the resulting desert her inner city is now palpable. She explores her inner city, which is a complete mess, the kind of mess happening inside the mind of someone struck by anxiety. She still marches in confidence though, since her wish granted means that this mess is no more an obstacle. She comes through the mess to her completely calm place. That's where she breaks the blue sky she hates, the blue sky represents all those social conventions she was afraid to break: "Everyone else loves the blue sky". When she destroys this limit, all the messed up contradictions sprout out of their boundaries. The heavy, dense black rain is the final release of every tangled mess stuck inside her.
