I grew up to fast and i regret it cuz its almost 2020 and my childhood is over im 12 gonna be 13 but i feel way older, when i was in 3rd grade i would get dirty looks from girls and i swear people would say stuff about me when it was summer of 3rd grade going to 4th grade i watched my bff of my whole life (my dog but she was the best girl in the world and its almost like losing a sister... We grew up together) get hit by a car and i saw her whole body flat on the road and then falling in love in 5th grade and getting my heart broken in 6th then my brother abandoning me in 7th

I’m 22 now, it’s been 7 years but pretty much all of me was died with her and I’ve never been the same and never will. She and I met online, we had all the same interests and talked constantly over Skype and discord, she had a small following online because she would stream and she was very extroverted and had this incredible power to draw in everyone’s attention and keep it, I was the only one she cried in front of and I was the only one she confided in. Her mother was a drug addict and they lived in a 1 bedroom apartment and she had nowhere else to go and couldn’t due to being underage but she had to drop out of school and she had 2 jobs plus her streams, she started because if she could get a big enough following she could earn a little more money doing something she actually enjoyed and create a career path that didn’t require her to attend school because she just didn’t have that kind of time and with streaming she had full control over hours, dates and everything and she absolutely adored doing it. She wanted to go to art school and that was her true passion but it wasn’t realistic in her eyes, streaming was something she actually could do as she was gifted the equipment by myself and other friends mainly so we could all have amazing calls and gaming sessions we liked to record and watch back for fun and make fun of each other. But it all came to a very abrupt end, it was thanksgiving, her and I already made plans to do a video call, we made thanksgiving food for ourselves to eat together like we were actually in each other’s company because even as teenagers we didn’t have anyone to spend thanksgiving with other then each other. Hours and hours passed I kept calling her and sending her messages and I kept telling myself everything was probably fine they might have just lost electricity or something or the internet went out. However I got a call at 11:36pm, it was her mom, I had been in contact with her many times, she had my phone number and all my social media because I was her daughters best friend and she liked me as a person. Her mom called and she hadn’t really done that before, it was always a planned call never a random call, when I answered she just kept saying “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry it’s all my fault” I knew at that moment what happened but I needed her to say it so I was quiet and gave her time to calm down and she told me the story. My friend was making chocolate chip cookies to send to me as a surprise but apparently while using the automatic mixer for the first time all the unstirred ingredients flew everywhere, so she went to take a shower, he mom had taken some drugs and was just laying on the couch, she heard a loud crash from the bathroom but she didn’t get up to check on her cause she was super high. 3 hours passed and she had to pee and she kept banging on the bathroom door but she only heard the sound of the shower running so she called 911, she was long gone at that point. She had always had seizures ever since she was a child and they had been bad in years and she hadn’t had one in a year and a half, but she had the worst one then she had ever had before, she fell to the tub floor and hit her head on the faucet, the injury to her head is what caused her death. I have a tattoo dedicated to her, it represents what she loved and her beautiful artwork. However to this day I have no friends. There was a man I was deeply and still am in love with and he’s gorgeous I mean movie star gorgeous, he played football in high school and everything but he and I think so similarly and love most of the same stuff, I was the bullied chubby girl as a teen, I had never been asked out or anything. I did grow to be pretty and I’m confident in my looks however, he’s so well put together he’s successful, funny, caring and protective, I’m different, I’m oblivious most of the time, i can’t walk for more then 5 minutes and trip over nothing. Him and I were so close I mean like we talked about everything even things I wouldn’t even tell my siblings, or parents and same with him. He could be infuriating at times but it never changed my love for him. One day though he word vomited basically and said he was in love with me and said he kept trying to ignore it and tell himself he wasn’t but after 5 years he couldn’t do it anymore. It was the thing I wanted him to say in all these years and he said he was extremely embarrassed and I didn’t have to accept his feelings, I hate how long I stayed quiet for honestly and I ended up doing what I never in a million years thought I would. I regretted him and for a while I had no idea why I did but I do now, I got scared, after my best friend died in the span of 1 year from her death I lost 2 other close friends and every year, I’ve lost another person I held super close to my heart 10 people in 7 years as a total. I was absolutely terrified to lose him, I know it sounds ridiculous but I felt as though I was cursed and out of instinct I started pushing everyone away and continued to, it doesn’t have I’ve been betrayed in the worst ways by some of the people who were supposed to protect and support me no matter what, I trusted no one anymore and even if I did they would end up like the others too, being in my life felt like a death sentence, and if they didn’t die they would hurt me in the worst ways they could think of. So I guess I unknowingly realized that I let him get to close, I couldn’t imagine a world without him and the thought of him hurting me was unbearable and I knew I would never ever recover from it. I live a life of pure solitude now, I no longer have loved ones other then my cat, it’s just me and her and yes it’s lonely but it hurts far less, no one can betray me and if I don’t have anyone then there’s no one to die other then myself or my cat. I know it must sound depressing but I don’t think of it like that anymore it’s the ideal situation, I’m happier then I was before. A solitary life isn’t as bad as I thought, actually it’s pleasant for me, I no longer feel the cloud of betrayal or death looming over me waiting for the perfect moment. I feel pretty relaxed and free.

This song reminds me of myself. I saw some stuff a little too early and matured earlier than other kids. I always had mental problems but no one was there to ask me “are you ok?” And it felt so bad. Until I found my bestie she was so comforting and nice. She understood me, I told her everything, she accepted everything! But I had to move. That’s feeling is back. That horrible feeling is back.
