Just realized. I'm amazed at how detailed this was for PS1

@@seekthegreatness4818 Yeah, this looks WAY better on the PS1 than RR7 looks on the PS4. Namco were at the top of their game on the PS1 when it comes to graphics beating out the gran turismos. But then all the sudden when they shifted to PS3 they were falling behind....

***** If you want some serious challenge then try use Dragone and win on all 4 courses...unnecessary challenge that was... To me this is still the best version of Fatalita of any Ridge Racer series,it sounded so feminine! I hate how a lot of cars on RR7 sounded the same and special class cars no longer feel special... This and Type 4 is still the best that series had to offer.

Barebare kun I've already completed that challenge! But certainly unnecessary challenge in RTA... In next RTA, I planned beating Class-6 with Alouette G5 except Oval. It's more "spicy" challenge, isn't it? I still haven't bought a Ridge Racer 7 (and PS3). But it appears to interesting for me, except some car design. And...I really difficult to say...I doesn't like R4. Because take too much time to 100% complete. And in my personal opinion, but cannot understand the physics engine.

Ah, that's very easy method. The following these steps. * It cannot be used in the Automatic Transmission * 1. During the countdown, hold the Accel & Brake simultaneously. 2. When the signal turns green, Shift-Up to the highest gear(4, 5 or 6), and then release the Brake. 3. REACH THE MAXIMUM SPEED!!! ...But this method is slightly different at each cars / grades. The some cars are not be able to shifting to the highest gear, and some cars are needs to be adjust the spacing of the Shift-Up. So, I recommend to practice hard in all 13 cars! [List of easy car of Fast-Start] Esperanza / Erriso(Alouette) / Abeille / Acceron(Instinct) / Bayonet: All Grade 5 Vanquire(Victoire) / Squaldon(Dragone)

It can. However, some cars may not be able to put the highest gear or may not reach the maximum speed due to insufficient engine revs.

ryan cooper Both are correct. Alouette is much quicker than Esperanza, and I like Age's nimble performance.

I know I'm 2 years late, but the answer is that it's a lot cheaper to upgrade the Alouette through the classes than it is to buy the Pegase. With Fatalita's skill, he's able to more than make up for the slight stat deficit of the Alouette.

This was namcos best ridge racer soundtrack. Everything was perfect about it. Even the menu song. Fun fact. If you have a psx emu you can break out all of the sounds. The guitar melody is an sample as well as the chords in the breakdown on the menu song

I've owned this game since 1997 as my first PlayStation title and this is the first time I've realised that thanks to you!

I have no idea about this either as I'm not familiar with Namco's past outside of the Ridge Racer series. Do you have any examples?

@@enzoalec92 near the starting line is two hotels named hotel toypop, further along is a cafe named cafe de pac, the buildings on the coast have zakato (xevious) and clovis (dragon buster) on them. The other games feature Namco owned chains like wonder city, Italian Tomato, and even wonder eggs (the same theme park from Xiaoyu's stage in Tekken 3)
