★Motion: ??? ★Song: Here It Goes Again, by OK Go ★Effect: Diffusion ★Model: Team RWBY - whimsicottsh Disclaimer: I don't own the song or characters. This is just for entertainment.
I can totally imagine Ruby demand they do this, Yang would whole heartedly agree, Blake would admit to thinking it might be fun, and then they'd have to drag a reluctant Weiss into it only for her to end up enjoying herself. Love it.
Ren: "Stop!" **music stops** Pyrrha: **Makes a weird sound somewhere between "Eeeeeeeeh" and "Uuuuuuuuh"** Ren: "Pyrrha?" Pyrrha: "Huh?" Ren: "You know I love you, but kick-step kick-step bodyroll is NOT rocket science!" Pyrrha: "I..." Ren: "IT'S KICK-STEP KICK-STEP BODYROLL!" Jaune: "Gah, I can't work like this!" Ren: "And where do you think you're going?" Jaune: "ANYWHERE BUT HERE!" Ren: "Oh, NO YOU DON'T! You and I have a fitting to go to after this! You haven't lost those seven pounds, have you?" Jaune: *"YOU DON'T KNOW THAT!"* Ren: "I know there's an empty bag of chips under your bed!" Jaune: **whimpering** "Eheh! Eheh!" Nora: "UuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauhuaaaaooooooooooowwww"
I just watched this four times, focusing on each girl, to compare it to the original. They are pretty much frame for frame identical. That's fucking astounding. Also, no way Weiss would have put up with this. Either Yang has some blackmail material, or Ruby has mastered the puppy-dog eyes.
It's not what she has to gain, but what she has to lose. One of them probably has her credit card and threatened to destroy it if she doesn't go through with this xD
She can have it marked as destroyed or lost and have a new one issued, it's probably not that big a deal. But if someone offered the kind of attention that she seemed to crave from her family (Ruby has amazing capacity for empathy, unlike Weiss's father), then maybe she'd be willing to put up with seemingly embarrassing things like a dance routine involving eight treadmills.
Ruby: Professor Ozpin, we need 8 treadmills! Pr. Ozpin: And for what purpose may I ask, Miss Rose? Ruby: Uhm... training purposes...? Pr. Ozpin:...Very well *sips his coffee*
tanner armstrong Just a team building workout, after this is the warm up of 50 push ups and sit ups, followed by 100 jumping jacks, than a few hundred laps around the campus and finally weapon accuracy. Good luck getting the good grades :) PS: Also Aura and combat training against fellow class mates.
**at some point** Glynda: Shouldn’t we be teaching the students how to fight better rather than this and use the budget on safety procedures rather than 8 treadmills for each team, Ozpin? Ozpin: Ssssssshhhhhhhhhhh.... they’re bonding **sips his cup of coffee**
But thing is, in the description, she put "[Motion] ???". Meaning, she didn't make the animation, but she doesn't know who did. If she made the motion herself, then she would've stated that, instead of putting ???.
Yang suggests the idea. Ruby immediately begins choreography. Blake has nothing better to mind. Weiss adamently says it's simply for co-ordinating and *nothing else.* Headcanon. UPDATE: 4 years later, I find myself back here and feel the need to point out that Weiss agrees as team-building pretending to hate the idea, but is also already finding the treadmills
Curious how I actually imagine team RWBY doing this at certain point of their stay at Beacon, after Weiss agreed only if the video was kept in secret... which of course didn't happen
Yeah, clearly Yang's idea, followed up with Ruby's excitement of doing something super fun with her friends, Blake acting like she doesn't care but agreeing anyways and Weiss protesting and then being persuaded to join in anyways. I'd love to see this make it into RWBY Chibi season 2, not just the dance but the entire scene of them coming up with it, where they get the machines, the entire setup, perhaps a small practicing montage...
OK GO happens to be one of my favorite bands but its well known this song was very popular back on MTV during its prime. So Kayzzles, I CHALLENGE YE. I want a sequel. I would like you to do the same thing, but for "Upside Down and Inside Out". Even if you managed to do the animation without all the floating objects, which I could understand would be a total NIGHTMARE, that would still, for me at least, mark the challenge as complete.
Fun Fact: you’ll notice at the 0:59 mark, Blake loses her balance for a moment. This happened also in the original OK GO video and it’s a bit more subtle in the original. In fact, the band considered it small enough that they decided to use that particular take as the video to upload to RU-vid.
