not k. howard biased or anything (even tho she is my favorite queen) but she definitely won the competition of who had it the worst and y'all can't disagree-

Katherine: So I decided to have a break from boys.. King Henry: lol u thought

I really empathize with my fav queen. They got rid of her birth records so we don’t know her exact age, but she died at the age of 16 to 19. They use her oldest possible age to make the thing with the music teacher less... ew. To put it another way, her first time happened at 13.....OR AT FRICKIN’ 10!!! It was gross enough at 13, what with him being her teacher and 38, NOT 23 (Also something they did to cut down on the “ew” factor), but a 38 year old man with a likely prepubescent 10 year old, while also being in a direct position of authority over said 10 year old... It’s enough to make you vomit. Even in that time period, prepubescents were thought to be unable to give consent. Even after menarche, most waited until the hips finished developing, as childbirth was already risky, as the baby getting stuck because the hips were not wide enough was a real possibility for fully grown women, and even more likely to occur the younger the girl was. The fact that Katherine was beheaded for her being abused was victim blaming at its worst.

Ok... she is definitely the one who went through the most, and she doesn’t even know it. She thought this was... normal. She just wanted love.

When you have all these ideas for how to animate this song, but you can’t draw

The worst part is she didn’t figure out that she was being abused until it was too late

6:36 I loved the detail you made in this scene. For those who don't know, here is the fact: it is believed that the night before her beheading, Katherine. H spent hours practicing how to rest her head on the decapitation block, which was brought to her cell at her request. and yes this is very sad and heartbreaking PS: I loved the animatic keep it up uwu (srry for my bad enghils)

This perfectly conveyed how creepy scenarios like this are. She's SO young, and they look at her with what could be easily be mistaken as love from her perspective. Since she's so young it's even worse that the men are somewhat attractive, because what little girl wouldn't like their faces? Just so slimy feeling. Absolute perfection all the way around.

Fun fact: there wasn’t real evidence that she cheated on Henry. And she was also 19 when she died. 13 when she met her first “love” and married Henry at 15 (these are facts I heard so it might not be exactly correct)

I like to think that the line "Playtime's over" means that her childhood is over, she can't get it back now.

After she realises she's been abused, you can hear alarm bells in the chorus.

(This is a stupid joke srry) Moral of the story: dont trust guys that say "we have a *connection* "

I like that you use the line "Playtime's over" for K. Howard's transition to her older self, signifying her childhood ending.

I thought she had blond hair and that she looked exactly like what Sophie from The School for Good and Evil would look like. This was very good. It is always nice to see people bless the universe with talent! I am working on an animatic myself, but it has been taking a long time, what with homework, and getting distracted by She-Ra [and] the Princess[es] of Power videos.I didn't realize it was going to be historical, so that was really a nice surprise since I have not seen or even heard of this musical. When you think about it, I think this queen went through a whole lot! Like, she was being manipulated into thinking they liked her so they could have s*x with her! Then she gets beheaded because she couldn't say no to Thomas! Like, wow! Then is queen of Aragon, and Jean Semor (don't know how to spell her last name)! Catheran (don't know how to spell her name) of Aragon was married to King Henry for 24 years! Knowing that she was being cheated on, but still stayed! Then Jean really loved him, (they all did) but when she had her son, she just died! Didn't get to hold her son! So yeah...
