What these people are saying, but also don't hit too hard, you're only wasting energy by doing that.

I'm 3 months late but if you're still struggling with the tatacon you can modify it by replacing the foam cushion on the inside with cork. It makes it a lot more sensitive so you don't have to hit the drum as hard

Are you using one hand too much? You won't get tired if you hit it with both hands in a well-balanced manner!
